Chapter 189: Firearms
Let Charlotte earn four or five hundred million every month!
But it was still far less than the expenses!
However, Charlotte already had a plan.
"Don't worry about the money! I'll take care of it!"
Charlotte reassured Ivan, who looked visibly distressed.
Ivan, the butler, had been with Charlotte for ten years, and Charlotte was very satisfied with his work.
Initially, Charlotte wanted to visit Caesar Courant, but seeing the number of people around, he decided to postpone it.
That night, a banquet was held.
The four sons and three daughters were brought out by their respective maids.
All the cadres gathered in the hall.
Charlotte had ordered the kitchen to prepare delicious food and wine in advance, ensuring everything was ready for the grand feast.
Hundreds of people attended, making it one of the largest gatherings of the Rockefeller Pirates.
In reality, it was Charlotte's own fault.
He wasn't particularly good at managing such a large pirate group.
Most of the responsibilities were delegated to his subordinates.
Island affairs were handled by Ivan, the chief steward.
Pirate group management was overseen by Carter.
Household affairs were managed by Elena and her fellow wives, with Elena taking the lead.
The maids were supervised by Monica Harrington, the head maid who had the Dragonfly Zoan Fruit.
Charlotte rarely intervened in these matters.
But this was a world where strength ruled.
As long as Charlotte remained powerful, no one would dare to betray him.
And if someone ever did—they had to be prepared to face Charlotte's wrath.
After the banquet, Charlotte was once again made drunk by his men.
He was helped back to his room by several women.
What followed next needs no further description.

The Next Morning
Charlotte held his waist as he walked out of the room.
He stepped onto the balcony, looked at the bright sun in the sky, and stretched.
"What a beautiful day!"
Winter was at its best when the sun was shining brightly.
Charlotte jumped off the balcony.
He no longer lived in a villa.
Charlotte now resided in a castle, and outside the castle was a vast lawn.
On the lawn, Esdeath and Caesar were playing.
"Dad!"
Two crisp voices called out.
Charlotte turned and smiled at his children.
"Good morning, Esdeath! Good morning, Little Caesar!"
"Tsk! Dad is such a lazy bum! It's already noon!"
Esdeath pouted.
Charlotte's smile froze instantly.
He looked up at the sky.
It seemed… it really was noon!
"Hahaha! Dad got drunk yesterday, so he woke up late today. You two keep playing! I'm going out for a while. I won't be having lunch, so tell your mom! Bye!"
Charlotte quickly spoke and then vanished in a flash.
Esdeath and Caesar both pouted, watching their father escape.
They didn't know who he inherited that from.
Charlotte walked out of the castle and entered the camp.
Today, he had come to see Caesar Courant.
Before leaving for the Whitebeard-Golden Lion conflict, Charlotte had given Caesar the design blueprints for a gun.
But after a month, he hadn't checked on the progress.
Charlotte kicked open the door to Caesar's lab.
"Caesar! Did you make what I asked for according to the blueprints?"
Bang!
The sudden noise startled Caesar.
His test tube slipped, spilling an unknown liquid onto the floor.
Hisss!
The floor was instantly corroded.
Charlotte narrowed his eyes.
"Caesar Courant, what the hell is this?"
Caesar froze, sweating.
"Ah! Mr. Charlotte! Why are you here?"
He was obviously trying to change the subject.
Charlotte ignored his attempts and grabbed Caesar's wrist.
"You're researching poison gas?"
Charlotte read his mind instantly.
"Ah! Ahhh!"
Caesar panicked.
He had no idea how Charlotte knew.
"I'm sorry! I won't do it again!"
He knelt down, hugging Charlotte's leg, crying pathetically.
Charlotte sighed.
"When did I say I was going to blame you?"
"Uh… you're not mad at me for embezzling public funds?"
Caesar looked up stupidly—then immediately regretted saying that out loud.
Charlotte's expression darkened.
"Did you finish what I asked you to make?"
Caesar froze.
Suddenly, he remembered!
"It's done! It's done! Mr. Charlotte, the gun design you gave me completely unlocked my talent for weapons! I can't believe firearms can be designed like this! Mr. Charlotte, you're a genius!"
Charlotte rolled his eyes.
"Did you build them?"
"Yes! Yes! Wait here, I'll bring them now!"
Caesar quickly walked to a cabinet and pulled out a one-meter-long gun.
It looked exactly like Charlotte's blueprint.
Then, under Charlotte's surprised gaze, Caesar took out several other guns.
"Mr. Charlotte! This one follows your design! And these others were made based on new inspirations I had while working on your blueprint!"
Caesar placed five firearms in front of Charlotte, grinning proudly.
Charlotte recognized them instantly.
Even though he had traveled to this world ten years ago, he still remembered these guns perfectly.
Charlotte picked up the rifle, pulling the bolt back.
Click. Click. Click.
The familiar sound and weight transported Charlotte back to his previous life.
The rainforest, the mercenary missions, the kill-or-be-killed battles.
Damn, I miss it.
But now, he was here.
And with these guns, everything was about to change.
To be continued…
