Chapter 11: Sibling Romance

Bo Yang's school was quite far, and Chen Dan had to drive for a full forty minutes.

After parking in the VIP parking lot, Liang Zhouyue quickly pushed open the door and got out of the car, looking quite uncomfortable.

Jiang Li followed her, his expression one of concern, "Motion sickness?"

Liang Zhouyue kept patting her chest with her palm, looking like she was trying to suppress the urge to vomit. After taking several deep breaths, she shook her head, "It's my old issue. It comes and goes."

She didn't look well, and Jiang Li didn't have the heart to drag her to the stands to watch the game.

At this time, Chen Dan leisurely got out of the car, saw the two standing in a stalemate, and with a look of confusion and surprise, asked, "Waiting for me?"

"You go ahead and find Ah Lan. She's feeling a bit car sick. I'll take her to rest for a while."

"Oh."

Chen Dan, feeling deflated, walked away, occasionally looking back at them. Finally, he quickened his pace and entered the venue.

"There's no need to rest, let's just go in, I'll be fine in a moment... urgh..."

A strong wave of nausea surged to her throat, and Liang Zhouyue turned her head and ran towards the nearest trash can, feeling like she even vomited out bile.

Thankfully, she hadn't eaten much that morning, so even though she was vomiting thoroughly, she wasn't terribly disheveled.

Taking a tissue from her bag, she wiped her mouth, her movements feeble.

She regretted it; her physical condition really wasn't suited for extreme sports, which made her stomach extremely uncomfortable and left her with a hollow feeling of sickness.

"Let's go, I'll take you upstairs to rest."

Jiang Li took her wrist in one grasp, his first thought was just how slender and delicate she felt, petite to the point of evoking sympathy.

Without time to harbor any romantic thoughts, he led her inside through the entrance of a nearby supermarket.

With her stomach unsettled, Liang Zhouyue let her guard down, "Where are we going?"

The supermarket didn't have a sign, since it was for internal use only. In Liang Zhouyue's view, it just seemed like an ordinary room.

Jiang Li kept holding her wrist, and now he only felt his palm sweating and his heartbeat gradually escalating. Sounds like rushing tides filled his ears, softening his voice as he said, "I'm buying some things."

Entering the supermarket, the owner was a very young guy, in his twenties, fashionably dressed.

Seeing someone coming in, he stood up and greeted them enthusiastically, "Yo, President Li is here."

Jiang Li casually nodded his head, greeting him familiarly, "I'm going to grab a few things, just gonna help myself."

After speaking, he finally let go of Liang Zhouyue's hand and instructed quietly, "You sit here for a bit, wait for me."

Arriving in an unfamiliar place, Liang Zhouyue instinctively felt uneasy, but fortunately, Jiang Li made arrangements for her. She obediently sat down on the chair by the door, her movements restrained, very quiet.

Jiang Li filled a bag with mangoes and oranges, handing them to the supermarket owner to weigh. He then turned around and found some plum candy and mint-flavored gum on the shelf, picking up three of each. Lastly, he grabbed four bottles in total of mineral water and milk.

After placing all the items on the counter, he casually added two packs of wet wipes before completing his shopping, "Let's check out."

The owner packed everything into bags, a suggestive twinkle in his eyes. Glancing at the fair and tall Liang Zhouyue, he shook his head and smiled, "First time bringing the sister-in-law here, what's there to check out? Of course, it's on the house."

After all, none of these items were particularly expensive.

Liang Zhouyue might have been sitting by the door, but the owner's voice was loud and clear enough for her to hear everything. She inadvertently wanted to explain when she met Jiang Li's laughing eyes.

That second, all her words were stopped short at her lips, unspoken.

Seeing this, Jiang Li's lips curled up with a bit of mischief, openly admiring that beautiful, glowing woman. For a full three seconds he watched her before withdrawing his gaze, his deep voice tinged with satisfaction, "In that case, I insist on paying."

The owner clicked his tongue, being a straightforward guy, "Seventy-six, scan the code."

"Does your shop have a payment notification sound?" Jiang Li spoke in a hushed tone.

The owner grunted in affirmation.

```
The next second, Jiang Li flipped through WeChat and found the boss's personal account, quickly transferring the money.
"Does sister-in-law not even let you spend seventy-six bucks, or are you hiding private money?" The boss teased with a smile in his eyes, his voice softening.
He really didn't understand why Jiang Li had to be so secretive and quiet about making a payment.
Hearing this, Jiang Li shook his head with a cryptic expression, perhaps to clarify the facts, but he made it seem overtly ostentatious. "She doesn't let me spend money because I'm in a May-December romance."
"Fuck!"
The boss cursed fiercely.
...
Jiang Li came out with the bag, and Liang Zhouyue immediately noticed the package.
"You bought so much?"
Jiang Li hummed in affirmation, his tone flat. "Just checked; it's said to relieve the discomfort of motion sickness."
He didn't overemphasize his actions, grabbing her wrist again and guiding her into a building through another entrance.
Liang Zhouyue was in a daze the whole time, from learning that Jiang Li bought her food to his leading her into a rest room with a bed and sofa. Struggling with the urge to vomit, she followed him up without resistance.
"Go rest on the sofa for a bit, get some air conditioning."
Saying this, Jiang Li twisted open a bottle of mineral water and handed it to her.
Liang Zhouyue received it mechanically, her voice already faint, now even weaker. "Thank you."
"No problem."
After giving her the water, Jiang Li took the bag and sat opposite her, beginning to peel an orange.
Liang Zhouyue thought he was taking care of her again and felt embarrassed, repeatedly refusing with a blush on her ears. "You don't have to peel it for me; I can do it myself."
Jiang Li paused his movements, lifting his naturally affectionate eyes, a faint smile across them. "I bought it for myself; can't I eat it?"
"Huh?" Liang Zhouyue was baffled on the spot, struggling to catch on.
Soon, a strong sense of awkwardness and embarrassment spread from her cheeks to her slender neck, turning them a pinkish hue, like a soft, squeezable marshmallow, equally adorable and tempting.
Jiang Li's sexy Adam's apple glided up and down, his smiling lips still lifted.
Liang Zhouyue lowered her head to drink water, her lush eyelashes trembling slightly, not daring to look at the man opposite her.
A social death in a small circle!
After calming herself, she coughed lightly and apologized in a soft voice, "I'm sorry, I thought you... you were helping me… uh."
Unable to construct such a shameless sentence, Liang Zhouyue cut off her own explanation.
She resigned herself to fate.
Her inability to articulate was just the thing to tease out Jiang Li's playful side. He offered her the peeled orange with a mischievous smile. "No need to apologize; just open your mouth."
His tone was too assertive; Liang Zhouyue paused for a second before reaching out to take it.
"Thank you…"
She definitely couldn't just open her mouth to take it; that would be too suggestive. Liang Zhouyue handled Jiang Li with care.
"It's too hot outside today, and the open-air stand isn't suitable for you." Jiang Li turned and lay on his bed, stretching comfortably and speaking leisurely. "Take your time to recover after eating, and I'll ride you back to school on my motorcycle."
Liang Zhouyue nodded, her politeness ingrained to the bone. "Thank you for your trouble."
"Not a trouble."
Jiang Li lay back on the bed, the faint trace of a smile at the corner of his mouth, He was smiling.
Your matters, never a trouble!
