Chapter 2:

As Noah walked through the gate he felt a distortion all around him, space folding on itself. His vision was filled with bright lights and colors that swirled, He couldn't find any discerning pattern as he started to get lite headed. He reached out trying to catch himself but he passed through nothing but space, his headed spinning from the small action, and before he knew it he was in a cave the lights gone his vision adjusting to the new absence of light. he collapsed to his hands and knees as he vomited uncontrollably.

Laughter broke out around Noah as he panted, trying to regain his balance. "Look at the poor orphan scared so bad he vomits when entering his first dungeon gate." one of the students called out as the rest laughed even harder. Mr. Smith stared at the prone boy curios as he censed no fear from him, but rather nausea. As Noah tried to gain his barring's and calm the turning in his vision and stomach, Mr. Storm proceeded with the mission calling out to the students explaining the rules.

"Each team will take a different path towards the center of this dungeon, you will not attempt the dungeon boss till each team is present and ready. anything you find inside you can keep. The order in which teams can choose their path is their collective grades combined from the previous year. any of the rules broken will lead to immediate expulsion and a hefty fine." As Mr. storm finished Noah finally got to his feet still woozy from the nausea but held firm. 'Was i the only one who experienced that or have they had training I'm not aware of, why am I the only one affected.' Noah thought. Focusing on what Mr. Storm had said he realized that he would be the last to pick a tunnel due to him being alone, even though he had a perfect grade.

Izzy looked at Noah with a sorrowed gaze, but didn't say anything in fear of being reprimanded for disrespecting a teacher. Instead she walked over to Mr. Smith who stand watch over the group and asked him if this was fair to Noah. "I'm sorry you fell as Noah is being mistreated dear but the entire school staff is here to protect the students do not fret. Honestly this could turn out to be a boon for the boy." Mr. Smith told Izzy gesturing to her to return to her group. He did in fact fell that it was unfair, and unfair treatment towards a student could be punished but Mr. Smith wanted to give the other teacher plenty of chances before he had to step in.

Group after group went choosing their own path through this dungeon, it was well known that out of all the dungeons this was one of the safest due to the only monster residing inside that held an attack was the boss. Shouting and clanging could already be heard from students that had chosen their path knowing thy had already found prey turned in Noah's mind. Noah waited patiently for his turn to arrive but their where still a few groups left to choose. He knew he would be the last to choose and he most likely would be the last to find the dungeon boss. He was also glad for the wait as he gathered himself and the nausea faded away, he took his time mentally preparing himself. He needed to keep calm and cool headed as he was here with a purpose, to gain a class, grow strong, and help support his younger sister. A fire burned within him a strong since of purpose, a need that he has felt for a long time.

"It's your turn Noah!" Mr. Storm called as Noah got up looking at the path's still available for choice. There was two paths, but he knew which he would choose. His eye's never left it as he felt a pull towards it he couldn't put his finger on why, but he knew deep down that it was his path. Something was there calling for him. He stepped forward slowly walking into the entrance of the path and down the tunnel. Mr. Smith's eyebrows rose up as he didn't notice the path till Noah had walked through as if it was obscured from his vision. A frown played on his face, he knew he had one of the sharpest censes in the faculty. He monitored Noah's signs on his reader as he felt something was a miss.

Noah walked but found no traces of beast, the dark tunnels winding and long. His hand readied on his sword for the first sign of a beast.

Mr. Storm sent out the signal outside of the gate to the rest of the faculty that the students had all started their journey through the dungeon. Some of the faculty entered and others prepared outside for the coming event. The classification of the students and sorting out which class they would be going to. It was known as one big celebration for the students, a moment that would dictate their possible future. The excitement in everyone was building as it was now just hours away for the students to find their path.

"I know you are worried about Noah But whatever class he gets he will strive to be the best in that class you know how tenacious that boy is." One of the nurses named Carly said to the head of the Nursing department Kaley breathed in heavily "I know but I'm also his child service charge and I have deep roots with his family. It's only right for me to worry, im just glad I can enter the dungeon and observe." Kaley replied with a gentle smile as she walked towards the dungeon gate to enter. "Plus this is the safest dungeon in the continent he should have a easy time getting a class. I'm more worried of how he will behave in the future, wanting to go on more dungeon expeditions, we all know of the dangers of dungeon divers. Also his military deployment will be coming up, what then if he gets into a situation he cant handle it will be my fault." Kaley rambled on worry building up the more she talked and thought about the possible dangers he would face. Carly put her hand on Kaley's shoulder "He will be fine mother hen, time is approaching for the bird to leave the nest. Plus you will need to start Ella's training soon if your plans still stand." Carly jested trying to comfort the worry of Kaley reminding her there was another sibling.
