House Drakkengard II

(Third Person POV)

[King's Landing, A Few Months Later...]

"Do you seriously think that we will have to trust Drakken?" Baelon asked his father, "I know it has been months and he's maintained a bit of quiet and peace in the Riverlands." 

Jaehaerys sighed, "He's allowed House Tully to maintain their position as Paramount of the Riverlands." He said, "It is just that his so-called House will not be subject to them. I do think we wait and see what move he makes." 

They were sitting in a table inside the King's Chambers, discussing matters about the Realm on that day. For months after the war in the Riverlands, Drakken had stayed quiet and had not bothered anyone else. While it was a bit of relief for most of the Lords, Jaehaerys was worried about what he was plotting in the background. He did not trust the fact that he was simply holed up in Harrenhal without doing much. 

"He has two powerful weapons that he could use against us." Baelon said, "Something must be done." 

"Something was already done." Jaehaerys said, "What can we do, Baelon? I genuinely want to know. He's not something that we could easily kill so there's no point in trying to assassinate should we stoop that low. No matter what deal we try to make, he can simply choose to refuse." 

"I don't know." Baelon said, "We can try to exploit something from him." 

"You are right. I have been thinking a lot about that." Jaehaerys said, "We can try to exploit his demeanor. He started the entire conflict because Maegelle defied him and ended it when she gave herself to him. If we can figure out a way to use that against him...." 

The doors opened and Queen Alysanne walked inside, "Husband...." She said as she looked at them, "I just received a letter from Harrenhal.....it is Maegelle.."

"What does she say?" Jaehaerys asked

"She says she is doing well." Alysanne said, "Or at least, that is what her handwriting says. That man has been busy repairing Harrenhal and exploring the area near the God's Eye, that is all. Maegelle has been comfortable despite her position....she is not allowed to leave Harrenhal but she is being treated well." 

"I don't like the fact that my sister is there with that beast." Baelon said

"There is no helping it." Jaehaerys said, "Where is Aemon?" 

"Aemon is with his children." Alysanne said, "Aenys has gotten ill again." 

Jaehaerys sighed, "That poor boy...." 

Baelon stood up, "Speaking of...." He said, "I have to go and check on Viserys.....if I let Alyssa constantly take him on flights, who knows how he'll end up." 

"We'll continue our discussion later..." Jaehaerys said, "With your brother in them as well." 

Baleon nodded, "Of course, father." 

As the Prince left the room, Alysanne looked at Jaehaerys. 

"What?" Jaehaerys asked

"Ten years...." She said, "You trade your daughter for Ten years of peace?" 

"A necessary price." He said, "You saw what he was capable of....in the course of a few weeks, he had the Riverlands on its knees and would have spread out throughout the realm. The fact that he stopped was nothing short of a miracle. Our House, our dragons, were helpless against him. The entirety of the Realm would have recognized that and would have bent the knee to him." 

"He said he is not interested in being a conqueror." Alysanne said

"He is interested in power, his power." Jaehaerys said

"Yes, and giving our daughter to him will get him closer to that power." Alysanne said, "I know that he drains Aemon and Baelon's magic from their blood, I know that he will do the same to our Maegelle.....I don't agree with it...." 

"What do you want me to do?" Jaehaerys asked

Alysanne sighed, "I...." She said, "I do not know." 

"I do things for the sake of the Realm. I am aware that despite his brutal nature, that man will not harm our children. He views them as his personal livestock and treats them differently." Jaehaerys said

"I wish to see my daughter." Alysanne said suddenly, "I will send a letter to Harrenhal and will fly over to see Maegelle." 

"No." Jaehaerys said, "I will not allow that." 

"She is my daughter, Jaehaerys...." She said sternly

"He is a monster." Jaehaerys said, "I will not risk you at all." 

"Please..." Alysanne said, "I need to see her."

[Harrenhal]

"My Lord....." Mya said as she hugged Drakken from behind, "I wish to have you more...." 

The God of War and Death was sitting on the edge of the bed, wearing nothing but his pants as she was bare naked. She had a satisfied smile on her face as she pressed herself against him, feeling the warmth of his body. 

"After months of succumbing to your constant nagging, I have grown fond of the satisfaction your body gives me." Drakken said as he rubbed his hair, "But I have work to do." 

"Please.....ten more minutes." Mya begged

"No." Drakken stood up 

Mya frowned as she laid back down, "Very well." 

"Mya Drakkengard..." Drakken said, "You have grown quite voracious for me....I don't want that to impede your duties..." 

"Of course, my lord." She said, "I have maintained contact with Olyver.....he is investigating that strange Raven and has been for months....." 

Drakken nodded as he walked over to the table in Mya's quarters, "And our Guardian?" He asked as he grabbed a cup of wine, "What is his progress?" 

"The modifications that I've done to him have been successful." She said, "I am surprised that you've taught me how to use your relics, My Lord." 

"I trust you." Drakken said, "That is all." 

"Hm..." Mya said, "The Guardian will no longer have that exhaustion problem, not as severe as he normally does." 

"Good....." Drakken said, "A new Heart is ready. We will begin another one...." 

"A Drake?" Mya asked

"No." Drakken said, "A Lindwyrm. Then.....a Wyrm.....and then...an Amphiptere...." 

"Oh?" Mya said with a smile, "That is a lot....." 

"It will take time." Drakken said as he looked at her, "And after that.....them...."

"That is good to know." Mya told him, "That you have not lost sight of your goals." 

"Of course." Drakken said, "Now....I will begin to have meetings with the Lords of the Riverlands and establish trading routes with the Reach. I want their crops." 

"Oh, that is a good idea." Mya said

"Yes." Drakken said, "Our House will begin to have their influence." 

"The Realm will recognize us."
