"Sir..." Julian spoke up after a few seconds of silence, trying to gauge the mood after Leon entered the car. It was clear he needed to deliver his report swiftly. "After the viral video at the restaurant yesterday, I checked the situation. Madam was hit by a bike."
Leon, who had his eyes closed, immediately snapped them open, his entire expression shifting. "What did you just say?" he asked, his voice sharp with alarm.
"Madam was warded for a day after the accident. That's why she wasn't at home," Julian continued. "I checked the CCTV outside the restaurant and a few others from nearby shops," he swallowed hard before continuing. "It looked like it was a hit-and-run. So, for now, I'm looking for the person who hit Madam."
Leon's grip tightened around the armrest as Julian's words sank in. His jaw clenched, a dark storm of emotions flickering in his eyes. "A hit and run?" His voice was low but laced with barely-contained fury. "Why wasn't I informed sooner?"
