Lila

On my way to the Cafe. The enticing scent of roasted coffee beans welcomed me as I walked into the café.

It was the kind of place that seemed welcoming no matter the season, showcasing its varied chairs, soft lighting, and bookshelves filled with untouched volumes.

Usually, it would have been the ideal getaway, but today, I couldn't unwind. My stomach felt twisted, and my hands were sweating.

As I entered the cafe, the cafe attendant came up to ask if I wanted to do some work. Please, I needed to have a conversation with my friend. I said.

For six months now, I have not set my eyes on Max. Not since I had banged the door on what we were, believing it was the sole method to safeguard myself.

Yet, despite all those months, he continued to linger in my mind. Any smile that didn't belong to him seemed off.

I texted him before coming here, on how we need to talk. He assured me he will be with me shortly.
