This moment is about focusing on my own. I had the opportunity to express my skills at a conference.
I went there immediately to prepare myself. I walked in and grabbed the microphone on the stage.
The chatter of attendees resonated throughout the conference hall while I adjusted the microphone attached to my blazer.
My hands were clammy, yet I held my head up, disregarding the anxious flutter in my belly.
The spotlight resembled a heat lamp, yet I compelled myself to concentrate on the audience—peers, industry figures, and unfamiliar faces all eager to listen to my words.
This wasn't my first time presenting, but it felt unique. Larger. It wasn't solely about demonstrating my skills or marking a requirement for my job.
It was about demonstrating something to myself.
The attendees were already prepared to listen to my presentation and everyone was quiet to hear me well.
