The Hive Queen

As the girl neared the main water supply I watched in horror as a few worms flew off of her. Then all the sudden her body gave a horrible lurch and the worms all flew from her body like they had been pulled by a huge magnet. She jerked and shuddered as the worms ripped from her face. When it subsided she fell to the floor in a faint. Quickly I leant over her and checked her for a pulse. I found one, faint and thready.

She opened her eyes and reached her me. I took her hand and squeezed it, "You need to run away."

"Don't keep me waiting," Came a horrible voice. It sounded like the crunching of gravel mixed with nails being scrapped down a chalkboard. It made my hair stand on end.

I let go of the girls hand and went into the room.
