Chapter 79: The Shadow speaks

The night was unusually quiet. Too quiet that the sound of water dropping from the leaves could be hard and whispers were easily hard even the ones spoken afar were in murmur. The weight of everything they had endured settled on Aveline's shoulders as she stood at the edge of the pack's territory, trying to breathe out into the darkness while also looking at the moonlight shine. Gabriel stood beside her, his hand resting protectively on their child's shoulder. The scars of battle still marked them both, inside and out, but they were still standing. The scar from the war remade their determination for future dealings. They were still with great intention to fight.

They both sat with each other enjoying the coolness and calmness of the night with their hands locked together. Gabriel said to Aveline " Are my sins finally forgiven now, I believe I have made up for the lost ground"
