Aron POV
Why is she not acknowledging her feelings for me, even though she has already expressed her love? I became enraged when she didn't confess her love for me in her sober state. I will only be satisfied when she confesses her love to me, not once or twice, but a thousand times. I want to hear from her how much she loves me.
Last night, she told me she loved me unconditionally, but in the morning, she changed her behavior with me. I had never experienced such intense love in my life, so when I could experience her love, I didn't want to spend a second of it apart from her.I saw her and Jerry walk out of the house.
She looked so lovely in her blue jeans and white top that I was afraid of what would happen if someone proposed to her at Jerry's studio. Therefore, I didn't want to let her go with Jerry by herself. Before she left the house, her phone buzzed with an unknown number, and she looked somewhat scared when she saw that number on her phone screen, so I had little doubt that she was trying to hide something from me.
Selena's call kept ringing on my phone, so I grabbed my car keys from the side table and started the engine. I called the detective's number to find out how his investigation into Sara's account activity was going. He told me he would soon get the specifics of the account that she used to send the money. Additionally, he informed me that Sara had transferred all of her funds to a new account.
I was quite surprised to see that she had transferred $20,000 to an unknown account. Who is she giving all her money to? My gaze remained fixed on the road, yet a mmultiple questions raced through my mind.
Is she cheating on me?
No, she can not do this to me. My subconscious did not allow me to doubt her. However, I'm still not sure where she spent all of her money.
As I arrived at my office, her thoughts consumed my mind.
I drove to Jerry's studio at lunchtime because I wanted to meet Sara and ask her a question on my own. The employees at Jerry's studio were surprised to see me at their workspace. As a billionaire, it's a significant challenge to avoid attracting attention from others. I'm not a fan of crowds and paparazzi, so I excused myself and asked Sara to join me for lunch. Everyone noticed us with such awe.
When I asked her whether I could take Sara with me, Jerry grinned. Sara hesitated to join me for lunch, but at Jerry's urging, she sat in my car.
"Are you waiting for someone's call?" When I saw that she was nervously glancing at her phone, I raised my eyebrows at her.
"No." When she saw that I was staring at her phone, she instantly put it in her pocket.
"Aron, why did you come to the studio so suddenly?"
"Are you not pleased to see me?" I raised an eyebrow at her.
"No, it's not like that." Her eyes remained focused on her lap.
"Come on." I stopped the car in front of a famous restaurant for lunch.
"Will we be eating lunch at this restaurant?" Her jaw dropped when she saw the restaurant located in the best five-star hotel in the city.
"Yes, do you have any issues?" Her reaction to seeing the restaurant made me smile.
"No." She shook her head.
I didn't understand why she was acting strangely today; maybe she didn't expect me to take her on a lunch date for the first time.
Inside the restaurant, my friend Laura was already waiting for me. I had let her know about my planned lunch date and asked her to arrange it for me. Since I rarely plan dates or go on dates with women, I felt it would be beneficial to enlist Laura's assistance.
"I was waiting for you, Aron." She hugged me happily upon seeing me. Right away, I broke out of her awkward hug. I gestured for her to look at Sara because she was fuming with anger when Laura hugged me.
"Oh, I am sorry, I didn't notice you." When she saw Sara, she nervously scratched her neck.
"Oh, so you've brought me here to meet your former girlfriends?" When Laura left the room, Sara taunted me.
Laura arranged a private glass room for us to have our lunch peacefully. She decorated the room with flowers and heart-shaped balloons. The sight of the decorations and the sound of the romantic music made me uncomfortable.
"Do you like it, Sara?" I observed that she seemed engrossed in her world and didn't communicate with me as she usually did.
"Yes, it's nice." Glancing around, she forced a phony smile that stopped short of her eyes.
"Are you still upset with me, Sara?" I touched her hand and inquired.
"No, I am not angry with you." She again fixed her gaze on her lap.
Why isn't she making eye contact with me? I wanted to ask her what was bothering her, but before I could, her phone buzzed with an unknown number.
"Aron, I have to go to the washroom." She rose from her chair and made her way to the restroom while holding her phone.
I now needed to inquire about the source of the constant beeping on her phone. After waiting for her to come back for fifteen minutes, I decided to go look for her in the restroom. My body froze when I saw her having a conversation with a man near the poolside table.
How could she do this to me? I never thought she would cheat on me in this way. I looked at the man's face and realized that he was her boyfriend. When I handed that guy the money, he wanted to permanently depart this country. How could he come back to this city? When I saw them together, my heart broke entirely.
She was correct—she still loves Neil; thus, she doesn't love me. I tightened my hand to contain my rage, but it seemed like she stabbed me in the heart when I witnessed her betrayal.
In a fit of rage, I stormed out of the restaurant before finishing my lunch or even telling her I was going.
