ATM Transaction

Aron POV

"I'm sorry, Sara. Please don't leave me. I need you in my life."

"No, Aron, I can not stay with you anymore. I have to leave right now." She looked at me with teary eyes, then ran away from me and disappeared into the darkness.

"Sara, please come back." I yelled out her name to stop her, but the water droplets on my face forced me to open my eyes.

"What happened, Aron? Did you see her in your dreams again?" Jerry looked at me with concern.

I turned to look around and saw that I was dozing off on the couch. My body was drenched in sweat as I dreamed about Sara. It's been a week since she left my life, but I felt like I spent an eternity on this earth without her. I searched for her day and night, but I couldn't find any trace of her.

I offered my detective his desired amount to find Sara for me. I repeatedly begged Neil to inform me if he had any information about Sara, but despite my offering him a substantial sum of money, he refused to cooperate. He attempted to portray himself as innocent in front of me, but I could sense his ulterior motives. He has some hidden motives; that's why he returns to her life. If he hadn't come into her life, then I would never have divorced her by misunderstanding her.

"Where are you going now?" I moved from the couch and headed for the front door.

"I have to find her; she is in some kind of trouble." Every night in my dreams, I saw her. In the darkness of night, her crying face haunts me.

"But where will you find her now, in such late hours of the night?" Jerry attempted to stop me.

"I don't know, but one thing is certain: she needs me now." My heart ached again, remembering my mistake.

"Aron, please control your emotions. You will get sick if you keep searching for her without taking a rest." She prevented me from walking outside by holding my hand.

"But Jerry, she needs me." I looked at her face and tried to explain myself.

"Aron, please get some sleep first; otherwise, you will fall sick." She led me to my room and asked me to get some sleep, but my sleep was far away from my eyes.

I didn't feel calm until I found her. I feel everything is incomplete without her. I am missing her presence in my life. Jerry caressed my hair to make me feel better, but I don't feel at peace. Every night, my overwhelming guilt prevents me from sleeping.

"Aron, you have to sleep." Jerry gave me a sleeping injection when I didn't get any sleep, even after her consolation. Jerry sought advice from a doctor regarding my mental health, as I was finding it difficult to sleep these days. The doctor suggested that I take sleeping tablets.

After Sara left my life, I forgot about everything—my work, my office, my addiction. At this point in my life, all I want is her.

When I awoke the following morning and started looking for her again, I was dismayed to see that there had been no updates regarding her. Days turn into weeks, and weeks turn into months. I received no information regarding Sara. I kept calling her phone, thinking maybe one day she would answer, but to my dismay, it appeared that she was no longer using it.

"Mr. Finge, I need your signature on this file." Selena knocked on my office door. I signed the document without even glancing at it because I had lost all interest in my work.

"Are you all right?" She gave me a worried expression.

"Yes, I am fine." I took a deep breath to release my inner tension.

"Selena, I apologize for my rude behavior yesterday; I was not in a good mood." Seeing her in an elegant professional dress today, I realized I had vented my frustration on her yesterday. She often exposed her body, so I reprimanded her. I instructed her to cover her body with an elegant dress whenever she came to my office. Everything that used to make me pleased now irritates me.

"It's okay, Mr. Finge; I'm pleased you've changed. For the first time, I saw respect for me in your eyes. If not, I'd always noticed lust in your eyes." With a gentle smile, she left my office.

Sara made all that possible in my life, but now that she's gone, I feel like these changes have been for nothing. My dad continued to attack my business, snatching away numerous clients, but now I'm at a loss for anything. I went to the hospital in the hopes that Sara would see her mother, but her mother informed me that Sara hadn't visited the hospital in a while.

I drive to the way home from the hospital feeling depressed. I had to break my car because of a red traffic signal. While I waited for the light to turn green, I peered out my car window. At that moment, I noticed a young girl selling flowers.

That girl approached me and insisted that I buy flowers. Although I didn't want to buy flowers, I bought them all because her adorable smile made me think of Sara. I searched my wallet for cash but only found cards.

"Do you accept credit cards?" I enquired.

"No, sir. We only accept cash for flowers." She politely refused to accept the card.

"I apologize, but at this time, I do not have cash." I cast an apologetic gaze at her.

"It's ok, sir; you can buy flowers from me another time." She released her flowers from my grasp and headed in the direction of the other vehicle.

I stared at the girl for two minutes as she walked away. No car owner buys her flowers. I felt sad seeing that little girl, so I decided to take out cash from the nearest ATM and then return to buy her flowers. My phone pops up with a transaction notice and the ATM address after I take out cash from the ATM.

My mind seized the opportunity to locate Sara. I asked my detective to look up Sara's account information right away. How could I be so stupid? First, I must check her account transaction details. I purchased all the flowers from that girl and thanked her for suggesting a way to find Sara.

My phone buzzed with my mom's number as I was joyfully driving my car back to my house to tell Jerry the wonderful news. I was reluctant to speak with her, but then I thought back to Sara's advice that my mother might have a different perspective. I answered her phone to finally have a conversation, but before I could say anything, the call was disconnected.
