Chapter 273: Senior Sister Meisuang's Father?
There was no doubt that the one descending from the sky was the guardian's Dragonite.
With just a single Dragon Tail, it sent Sceptile crashing into a Changchun fruit tree, causing a massive rumbling sound.
Hikaru couldn't help but click his tongue in amazement.
So brutal?
Dragonite hovered down gently, and from its back jumped the long-haired guardian Hikaru had sensed earlier.
Hikaru took a quick glance at Dragonite.
[Pokémon: Dragonite]
Ability: Inner Focus
Gender: Male
Talent: champion
Level: 72
Moves: Protect, Hyper Beam, Dragon Dance, Dragon Tail, Dragon Rush, Ice Beam, Thunder Punch, Fire Punch, Ice Punch, Extreme Speed...
A Level 72 Dragonite...
With just one strike, the Master-level Sceptile was left sprawled on the ground, unable to get back up.
"Ah... troublesome, really. I've given you so many chances, and yet you keep testing my patience..."
The long-haired man who jumped down from Dragonite looked rather troubled as he glanced at Sceptile.
A Sceptile with such strength and talent was a rare existence even in this secret realm.
But its attitude toward humans was excessively hostile.
At first, he thought it was just hostile toward him, but later he realized it was hostile to every human it encountered.
That meant he would have to capture it.
After all, the Changchun Secret Realm was the designated training ground for freshmen from Central Youth University every year.
If a Master-level Sceptile started causing trouble here, it would be a significant problem for the students.
He picked up a temporary Poké Ball, ready to capture it first.
"Can you wait a moment?"
A voice from behind interrupted his action.
The man turned around, intrigued.
"Hm?"
This kid... Isn't he the champion of this year's High School League?
The way he communicated with Pokémon was indeed impressive.
Did he know this Sceptile?
However, he still introduced himself, "Changchun Secret Realm Guardian. Do you know this Sceptile?"
Hikaru nodded, showing no surprise at his appearance.
"This is a Pokémon I used to know... It belonged to a trainer I was familiar with."
After saying that, Hikaru slowly approached Sceptile.
Latias stayed close to him, a protective barrier around him.
The battered Sceptile, unable to muster the strength to fight back, just glared at Hikaru with an unreadable expression.
Seeing Sceptile like this, Hikaru sighed and activated his Viridian power, speaking softly.
"I don't know what you've been through, but I can guess it's not much different from what Charmander went through. Now that you're free from him, just live well from now on."
"I'm not going to force you to change your opinion of humans."
"But remember, attacking humans randomly will only get you captured. Humans may not be inherently strong, but their unity and resourcefulness are beyond imagination."
As a human himself, Hikaru didn't force his perspective onto Pokémon.
What Pokémon experienced themselves shaped their view of humans.
This Sceptile had encountered a bad trainer—there was no doubt about that.
After his words, Hikaru commanded softly, "Latias, use Healing Wave."
"Mm-hmm..."
With the combination of Latias' Healing Wave and Hikaru's Viridian Power, Sceptile soon regained its strength and managed to stand up.
However, this time, it didn't say anything and just flashed away, disappearing into the forest.
The guardian, Yamato, smiled subtly at the sight.
A Pokémon like that—if it could be persuaded, great.
If not... it was just a Master-level Sceptile.
He could always send another Pokémon to keep an eye on it and see if it caused more trouble.
If it behaved, it could stay in the secret realm.
If not, he would have to capture and rehabilitate it.
But on the surface, he still had to comment.
"Kid, you just let it go like that?"
Hikaru chuckled awkwardly, "It's not a bad-natured Pokémon. There's no need to be too harsh..."
In Hikaru's limited understanding, once a Pokémon was captured and taken away, it probably wouldn't have a good ending.
Yamato didn't argue, instead summoning another Pokémon.
With a flash of red light, an Altaria appeared.
"Follow that Sceptile and make sure it doesn't cause any trouble."
After that, he jumped back onto Dragonite's back.
Dragonite hesitated briefly in midair before heading southeast.
The direction it was heading... coincidentally matched where Hikaru had sensed red-flowered fruit trees earlier.
"That guardian is surprisingly decent," Hikaru remarked thoughtfully.
His Dragonite and Altaria combo were clearly indicative of a Dragon Clan member.
Hikaru glanced at Sakura and asked, "Sakura, that looks like a guardian from your Hayashi clan. Do you know him?"
Sakura shook her head.
"There are many elders in the Hayashi clan, scattered everywhere. I don't know this uncle..."
However, Senior Sister Meisuang suddenly spoke up.
"Just an irresponsible jerk."
Her statement made both Hikaru and Sakura pause, looking at her with confusion.
But Meisuang just shook her head, clearly unwilling to discuss it.
Sensing her reluctance, they didn't press the matter.
After tidying up the area, Meisuang glanced at Hikaru and gave him a serious look.
"Don't ever do anything to hurt Sakura, got it?"
Her stern words made Hikaru scratch his head awkwardly.
"Don't worry, senior, I wouldn't do that."
Sakura quickly interjected, "Big Brother is really nice to me..."
Meisuang sighed, as if trying to say something but hesitating.
"Forget it... It's not my place to meddle."
Realizing that her words might have been too harsh, she dropped the subject.
"Let's follow that Dragonite."
She mounted Altaria, while Hikaru and Sakura jumped on Latias, following closely behind.
As they soared through the sky, Sakura suddenly leaned in close to Hikaru's ear, whispering softly.
"Brother, I just remembered something. I once heard that Senior Sister Meisuang was brought to the Hayashi clan by a woman... It's vague in my memory because it was so long ago."
Hikaru raised an eyebrow, intrigued.
"Yeah... Back then, both Meisuang and her brother were raised within the clan, but no one had seen their parents... I guess that guy was probably her father. But Meisuang does have a mother, though..."
