Chapter 14 Skill Carrying

"Hm?"

Qin Chuan glanced at Xiaopang and picked up his phone to enter the Dream Realm Forum.

As soon as he logged in, a document popped up in front of him; it could not be closed directly and had to be read.

However, after seeing the title of the document, Qin Chuan didn't plan to skip it.

"Yanhuang Country Special Affairs Temporary Management Measures (First Edition)"

Without hesitation, he clicked in, and Qin Chuan's face quickly revealed a look of astonishment.

This was actually a management method for the abuse of extraordinary power and crimes in the real world; although it was only the first edition, it already carried actual legal effectiveness.

Because the next Dream World entry had not yet opened, the specific impact of the Dream World on reality was not known; the descriptions of extraordinary abilities in the management measures were very general.

But Qin Chuan read from beginning to end and found almost no loopholes to exploit.

To discuss, review, and sign such a legislation within just a few hours after the update was announced, the efficiency of the Special Affairs Group once again astonished Qin Chuan.

"Surely, it's our Yanhuang speed!" Xiaopang, standing beside him, put down his phone, his face showing a rare solemnity, "The Dream World hasn't yet affected reality, but the management measures have already been introduced."

"Earlier, the Special Affairs Group even came to the school to lecture and shared various important information." Xiaopang paused before continuing, "Qin Chuan, what do you think the situation is like overseas?"

"I don't know, but it probably isn't good," Qin Chuan shook his head.

What the situation was like overseas, those who knew, knew.

"Thankfully, we were born in Yanhuang." Xiaopang grinned with a trace of relief on his face, picked up his bag, and walked towards the back door of the classroom, "Let's go!"

Qin Chuan stood still for a moment, stuffed the Wilderness Survival Guide into his backpack, and left the classroom without looking back.

-----------------

"Let's use this plan."

Qin Chuan opened the Wilderness Survival Guide, focusing intently on the step-by-step illustrations.

He finally decided on a not-so-complicated, but sufficiently sturdy shelter building plan; choosing this, he would complete the construction of the shelter tonight upon entering the Dream World.

This way, he would have a rudimentary base in the Dream World.

Carefully noting down the steps, Qin Chuan was about to turn off his light and go to sleep when he heard a faint argument coming from next door.

Were Tongtong's parents fighting?

Thinking of the cute girl who gave him candies that morning, Qin Chuan slightly furrowed his brow, couldn't help but put down the guide, sat up in bed, and moved closer to the wall.

The arguing voices became slightly clearer, though he still couldn't make out the words, he could distinguish that it was two men arguing.

It seems it wasn't Tongtong's parents fighting.

Qin Chuan dismissed his earlier guess and then heard a loud slamming of a door.

Footsteps swept past his door, followed by the sound of descending stairs.

Moved by curiosity, Qin Chuan lifted a corner of the curtain, peering out in the moonlight toward the building's entrance below.

Soon, a gaunt man stepped out of the door and then looked up, staring at the window next to Qin Chuan's.

Under the moonlight, his face wore a heart-thumping gloom and malice.

After just a glance, the man quickly left, obviously unaware of Qin Chuan's spying.

Qin Chuan silently let the curtain fall.

That man wasn't Tongtong's dad, but the other man involved in the argument.

He didn't look like a good person.

Oh well, every family has its own difficulties.

Slightly shaking his head, Qin Chuan returned to his bed, checked the time, then turned off the light to sleep.

-----------------

Casually grabbing a floating leaf in front of him, watching the colorful bird flying higher and ultimately becoming a tiny speck in his sight, Qin Chuan's gaze shifted to the panel in front of him.

[Player Name: Luo]

[Player Level: Apprentice Level]

[Contract Slot: 1/1] [View]

[Item Equipment Bar: 0/10] [View]

[Skill Carrying] (Not set)

Skill Carrying...

Was this the content after the update?

Qin Chuan clicked without hesitation, and a new panel appeared in front of him.

The panel split into two, with a symbol on the left and a blank box on the right, a plus sign in the middle, while in the lower right corner, there were two other symbols.

Qin Chuan was familiar with these three symbols.

The symbol on the left corresponded to Water Master, and the lower right corner symbols corresponded to Dark Current Binding and Rapid Stream Break.

At the top right corner of the panel, a blinking question mark icon caught Qin Chuan's attention.

He clicked it, and lines of text appeared.

[Skill Carrying function is now active. Players can choose skills to carry. Spiritual Beast passive skills are carried by default, active skills can be selected to carry, and the number carried is determined by player level. Different contracted spiritual beast active skills can be carried simultaneously]

[Each time you enter the Dream World, the settings will reset. When the Dream World entrance closes, the last Skill Carrying setting will be preserved, and players can use the carried skills in the real world]

"I... damn!"

After reading the introduction of Skill Carrying, Qin Chuan opened his mouth, momentarily speechless.

The Skill Carrying after the update was beyond his imagination.

Most importantly, the final statement "players can use the carried skills in the real world" stood out.

Qin Chuan read it three times over to confirm that it was the players who could use the skills, not the spiritual beasts.

Combining this with the first paragraph, he could then choose one active skill from either Dark Current Binding or Rapid Stream Break.

The chosen skill and the Water Master would be usable by him in the real world after this Dream World entrance closed.

Unable to conceal his excitement, Qin Chuan suddenly remembered another item from the update announcement.

Affinity.

He immediately clicked the Contract Slot and looked at Water Flower's panel.

[Spiritual Beast Species: Water Leaf Dog]

[Spiritual Beast Attribute: Water Attribute]

[Spiritual Beast Level: Juvenile Stage Lv5] (6/100)

[Spiritual Beast Traits: Grass and Wood Recognition]

[Spiritual Beast Species Value: 350]

[Spiritual Beast Affinity: 72%]

[Spiritual Beast Skills: Water Master (Passive), Dark Current Binding (Active), Rapid Stream Break (Active)]

[Spiritual Beast Introduction: Water Attribute Spiritual Beast Water Leaf Dog, with keen senses, naturally curious, loves exploring, and has a friendly personality.]

Like the Skill Carrying panel just now, there was also a blinking question mark at the top right corner of the spiritual beast panel.

He clicked it.

[Affinity represents the spiritual beast's favorability towards the player, which can be improved through interaction, with a maximum of 100%. The product of all spiritual beast affinities and species values is the Extraordinary Value, used to quantify the player's strength in the real world]

Qin Chuan: "!!!"

Just moments ago, he was wondering how to determine relative strength when using spiritual beast skills in the real world; the affinity already provided an answer.

Species value depended on the spiritual beast level.

Affinity was enhanced through daily interactions.

Thus, by nurturing relationships with contracted spiritual beasts and making them stronger during everyday interactions, he would become stronger in the real world.

This was the form of power projection from the Dream World to the real world!
