Chapter 13 The Version Is Updated Again

"I saw it," Qin Chuan nodded.

After the entrance to the Dream World closed, the Special Affairs Group immediately organized some of the updated information and uploaded it to the Dream Realm Forum, with two main highlights.

The first was to answer the question of delayed entry into the Dream World that remained uncertain yesterday.

After conducting experiments, the Special Affairs Group had determined that players who entered the Dream World later would lose consciousness during the corresponding time frame. If at that time there were enemies in the dream, they would undoubtedly die.

Therefore, the safest method for Dream World players was to fall asleep before midnight.

The second was a document considering the attributes of Spiritual Beasts.

After two days of exploration, the Special Affairs Group had discovered twelve attributes: Gold, Wood, Water, Fire, Earth, Thunder, Wind, Ice, Light, Dark, Superpower, and Fighting. They did not rule out the possibility of undiscovered rare attributes.

The document introduced these attributes and indicated that there may be fixed relationships of suppression between different attributes. The specific relationships were still under study, so everyone was asked to stay tuned for future details.

"What's the attribute of your Spiritual Beast?" Little Fatty asked with a curious face.

Qin Chuan glanced at Little Fatty, then replied, "Water Attribute."

"Water Attribute," Little Fatty expressed a look of yearning on his face. "I read the introduction to Spiritual Beast Attributes; Water Attribute Spiritual Beasts are second only to Wood Attribute in terms of helping players survive in the wild in the early stages."

"Perhaps," Qin Chuan responded noncommittally.

That might be the case for other Water Attribute Spiritual Beasts.

But the Water Leaf Dog's specialty was Grass and Wood Recognition, and it was no less helpful than a Wood Attribute beast.

As they were talking, their expressions suddenly froze.

Familiar text once again projected onto their retinas.

Another version update!

The classroom that had been noisy a moment ago suddenly became quiet.

After a while, a voice with a slight tremor broke the silence.

"Projecting into reality... does it mean what I think it means?"

Then the whole classroom burst into an uproar.

Students who had gradually accepted the Dream World once again wore expressions of horror.

Qin Chuan silently read the update announcement.

The power of the Dream World probably referred to the power of Contracted Spiritual Beasts and the Transcendent powers of the Spiritual Beasts themselves.

What would the new form be?

And what about this Affinity system?

Questions surfaced in Qin Chuan's mind. He knew only by entering the Dream World again could these questions be answered.

But one thing was certain.

The world was about to descend into chaos.

The last version update hadn't caused much panic, as it hadn't greatly impacted reality, and any panic quickly subsided; but the upcoming Version 2.1 would be a different story altogether.

Extraordinary Power entering a Blue Star that had no such power would lead to unpredictable consequences.

Qin Chuan's grip tightened slowly.

He realized that Time Stop would have a more significant meaning.

"Holy moses..." Little Fatty murmured next to him, "True Spiritual Energy is recovering."

"Qin Chuan, do we even need to continue going to school?" he shook Qin Chuan's shoulder with enthusiasm, his expression gradually growing excited.

Qin Chuan could understand Little Fatty's excitement. After all, both their grades were at the bottom of the class. Proceeding with college entrance exams, getting into a tier-three university was already their limit.

An isolated Dream World unrelated to reality would not improve their futures in reality.

But a Dream World that could interfere with reality might provide them with a new way forward.

A path different from changing one's destiny through studies.

"You better contract a Spiritual Beast first," Qin Chuan replied calmly, splashing cold water on Little Fatty's excitement.

"Don't worry," Little Fatty said unfazed. "Entering the Dream World tonight, I'll be able to handle contracting a Spiritual Beast, just in time for the update."

After the initial panic, other students also gradually calmed down.

Those who had contracted a Spiritual Beast appeared the calmest, whereas those who hadn't yet managed to finally looked serious.

If they didn't contract a Spiritual Beast soon, they would be completely left behind.

In this tense atmosphere, the homeroom teacher walked into the classroom.

The first class of the morning belonged to him.

Entering the classroom and standing at the podium, the homeroom teacher looked at the students below and fell silent for a moment before putting down the teaching materials in his hand.

"You all saw the update," he said.

"If the power of the Dream World truly affects reality, this world is bound to undergo a tremendous transformation." He laughed softly, "In two months, you will be facing the college entrance exams, but whether there will be exams two months from now is an unknown."

"In the past two days, everyone has been restless, not paying attention in class but focusing on content related to the Dream World. I—and the other subject teachers—understand this."

The homeroom teacher paused for a moment before his voice took on a more serious tone, "Going forward, this situation will likely intensify, with many students possibly giving up on the college entrance exams, even on studying altogether."

With these words, Little Fatty couldn't help but shrink a bit.

Why did it feel like he was talking about him?

"In light of this," the homeroom teacher continued after a moment of silence, his voice becoming more serious, "the college entrance exam is just one hurdle in life, but knowledge and the process of acquiring it are the most precious treasures gained during the journey to overcome this hurdle."

"No matter how the world changes, knowledge is important and irreplaceable."

The homeroom teacher's voice, now rare and resolute, echoed through the classroom, "I don't know what the world will become next, but now and in the future, I and the other teachers will still stand at this podium and impart knowledge to you without reservation."

"I only have one request, do not disturb the other students during class."

After his words concluded, the homeroom teacher turned and began to write the day's lessons on the board, among the contemplative faces of the students.

Some chose to leave the classroom, and many more were still involved in activities unrelated to the class, but compared to the previous two days, the number of students listening attentively had increased significantly.
