Acquiring the Handgun Blueprint

Late at night, Su Chen was watching TV, his eyelids growing heavy as drowsiness set in.

His RV was now sturdy enough to withstand the monsters that roamed the night. Even if the vehicle got damaged, he had the strength to take down any threats.

With the Super Knight Armor equipped, lower-tier monsters were no longer a concern.

The World Chat Channel remained lively even deep into the night.

Su Chen turned off the TV, preparing to sleep.

Tonight was much quieter than before.

"Finally, I can get a good night's sleep."

The Next Morning

Su Chen woke up feeling refreshed.

There was no need to rush—his RV was incredibly secure.

Today's goal was to head up Six Peak Mountain in search of a handgun blueprint.

Since this world had wizards, that meant other unusual creatures might exist as well. He had to stay vigilant.

Just before leaving, he noticed a few messages from Wu Luoxi.

("Good morning, Su Chen! Have you had breakfast yet?"

"Be careful when searching for the blueprint in the cave! There might be some strange things inside."

"Last time, I barely made it out alive. If I hadn't run fast enough, I might not be here today.")

Her words carried an ominous tone.

"If the cave is really that dangerous, I'd better be cautious."

Originally, Su Chen thought he could just walk in and grab the blueprint without much effort.

But after reading Wu Luoxi's message, he obediently put on his Super Knight Armor, which increased his defense by 50%.

After checking on Er Bao, who was still fast asleep, Su Chen made some beef for breakfast.

A full stomach meant more energy to search for the blueprint.

He also left some beef for Er Bao and prepared fresh grass for his horse.

With everything settled, it was time to depart!

On the Road to Six Peak Mountain

Su Chen had already spent several days here. He had planned to leave today, but the blueprint was too important to ignore.

Fortunately, he was familiar with the mountain paths, having just been here a few days ago with Er Bao.

"This mountain is full of unknown dangers. I need to stay alert."

There were many caves along the way—so many that every short distance revealed a new one.

Last night, Wu Luoxi had described the cave's approximate location.

It was at the base of the mountain, very close to her manor. No wonder she had found it.

Being alone, she probably didn't dare venture too deep.

Su Chen moved quickly, reaching the spot in less than half an hour on foot.

Before him stood a one-meter-tall cave entrance, barely 50 centimeters wide.

Overgrown weeds almost completely obscured the entrance.

Without a keen eye, most people would have walked right past it.

Su Chen crouched and crawled inside, but as soon as he poked his head in—

A terrible stench hit him full force.

"Damn! Even a sewer doesn't smell this bad!"

He immediately covered his nose. His tall frame and armor made squeezing inside even more difficult.

"Ugh… finally made it in. The things I do for a handgun blueprint."

The cave was spacious but pitch-black inside.

Right at the entrance, half of the handgun blueprint lay in plain sight.

Just as he was about to grab it—

Squeak!

A horde of rats suddenly swarmed out!

"Ahh! Rats!"

Su Chen jumped back in shock.

[Sharp-Snouted Rats]: Highly aggressive. They secrete venom, and a single bite can cause poisoning if left untreated.

Regular rats wouldn't scare him.

But these creatures were three times larger than normal rats!

Absolutely terrifying.

Su Chen shuddered inside his armor, his skin crawling.

"This cave must have plenty of food… that's why these things got so fat!"

The rats let out sharp screeches, making Su Chen want to curl up into a ball.

Escape was no longer an option. He had to fight!

The Sharp-Snouted Rats charged at him with alarming speed.

"They're that fat, but still this fast?!"

Su Chen dodged to the side just in time, but ended up hitting the ground hard.

His shoulder ached, but he ignored the pain and quickly pulled out his bow and arrows.

He fired instantly—

Thwack!

One rat dropped dead on the spot.

"Wow, I really underestimated this bow."

But there was a problem—

There were at least a dozen of these rats.

He only had ten arrows left.

No matter how accurate his shots were, some would still be left alive.

No time to hesitate!

Su Chen kept firing.

In moments, ten rats lay dead, blood pooling around them.

He missed a few shots, but this bow had an auto-adjust feature, making corrections in mid-air.

"Amazing weapon!"

The remaining rats charged at him without a shred of fear.

"There must be something valuable in this cave if they're this determined to defend it!"

With no arrows left, his bow was now useless.

He tossed it aside and drew his sword.

He had prepared for this.

Though not a trained swordsman, he had seen enough fights to imitate the movements.

"At least I know how to swing a sword!"

The biggest danger of these rats was their venom.

But with his armor on, he wasn't afraid of their toxic bites.

Slashing left and right, he cut through the remaining rats.

It only took a few strikes before they all lay motionless on the ground.

Blood was everywhere.

The sight was gruesome, but Su Chen finally breathed a sigh of relief.

"No wonder Wu Luoxi warned me… these rats were insane."

Deeper Into the Cave

The cave extended further in, its depths shrouded in darkness.

"Other monsters probably use these caves as hiding spots during the day… Best not to disturb them."

The deeper he went, the damp floor became more noticeable.

"If the handgun blueprint is anywhere, it's probably inside."

At a turning point, he saw something unusual—

A pile of half-eaten wild fruits, rotting and giving off a putrid smell.

And buried beneath them—

The other half of the handgun blueprint!

"Yes! Finally!"

Su Chen quickly grabbed the blueprint and rushed out of the cave.

"Ugh, I never want to step foot in that place again."

Back at the RV

Once inside, he immediately activated the Enhancement System.

[Congratulations! Enhancement Successful!]

[Handgun Blueprint → Enhanced into High-Capacity Handgun Blueprint!]

[High-Capacity Handgun]: Stores a large number of bullets, making it incredibly convenient.

Su Chen's eyes gleamed.

"Now we're talking! This will be a game-changer."
