Exterminating the Barbarian

Su Chen carried a pile of food, mounted his steed, and disappeared in an instant.

His speed was incredibly fast, comparable to a small car.

It was getting late, and he needed to return to his RV as soon as possible.

As for how the others split the food, Su Chen didn't care.

As long as he had enough for himself, that was all that mattered.

Er Bao lay on the vehicle, quietly waiting for Su Chen to return.

He had left in the morning, and now it was nearly evening, yet he hadn't returned.

Hearing the faint sound of horse hooves approaching, Er Bao immediately perked up.

Having not eaten anything since breakfast, it was truly unbearable.

He stood respectfully at the door, waiting.

Su Chen arrived on horseback, carrying a bundle of food.

The journey to that field had taken him nearly an hour.

But on the way back, without needing to wait for anyone, he reached the RV in less than ten minutes.

"Ah, nothing beats the comfort of my own RV."

"As soon as I get home, there's a loyal pup waiting at the door for me."

Er Bao wagged his tongue, staring at the pile of food in Su Chen's arms, and immediately started acting cute.

"Master, master, what are you holding?"

Lately, Er Bao had even learned to dance to make Su Chen happy, wiggling his butt adorably.

Su Chen put down the food.

"Ah, finally, my arms are sore!"

There was chicken, beef, vegetables, potatoes, cantaloupe, watermelon, and even a few packs of spicy strips and chips.

That place had an abundance of supplies, yet Su Chen had only taken about a fifth of it.

The remaining people probably wouldn't leave anything behind either—the secret base was most likely empty by now.

The best part? These foods could be enhanced.

[Ding! Congratulations, host! Food enhancement successful. All food items have been multiplied by 100 times!]

In an instant, a massive pile of food appeared before Su Chen.

There was so much that his storage space would be completely filled.

"With this much food, I have nothing to worry about anymore."

Er Bao tugged at Su Chen's pants with his teeth.

"Ah, right. It's time for dinner."

Su Chen's own stomach started growling as well.

Er Bao had been spoiled to the point that he only ate meat now, but Su Chen never restricted him.

He could eat as much as he wanted—Er Bao was probably the happiest dog in the world.

Su Chen simply pan-fried some beef and chicken, along with some vegetables.

That was today's dinner.

With the All-Purpose Seasoning, anything tasted good—even a shoe sole.

He had also grabbed some premium feed, ensuring the horse got the best tender grass.

It had already finished an entire bucket.

"Looks like today was a tough day."

The physical exertion had been high, so they all ate a lot.

Just then, an announcement popped up in the World Chat Channel.

[Congratulations to the Rescue Team and MVP Su Chen for successfully exterminating the Barbarian Tribe, earning the Best Organization Honor!]

This achievement and honor were now recorded in history.

The World Chat Channel exploded with excitement.

["What?! That armored warrior earlier was Su Chen? No wonder he looked different from the rest!"

"Oh my god, thanks to Boss Su Chen, I actually have achievements and honors now! That section on my profile is finally not empty!"

"Damn! The legend was right beside me all along!"]

Even those who hadn't participated in the rescue mission were shocked.

["What?! The entire barbarian tribe was wiped out?"

"Isn't this something that only happens in video games?"

"As expected of a team led by a true boss—just unstoppable!"]

Xi Bowen quickly joined the conversation.

["Hello, everyone! I was also part of the rescue team—a squad leader, actually."

"Our victory was all thanks to Boss Su Chen. We all deeply admire him."

"If I had known it was Su Chen, I would've clung to him and never let go!"

"I've always looked up to him!"

"We charged into the barbarian stronghold as a disciplined unit."

"We weren't afraid at all—we rushed in without hesitation and gave the barbarians no chance to fight back."

"I led the charge, wielding my sword on my very first battlefield!"

"The barbarians were terrified when they saw our fifty-strong army!"

"We crushed them effortlessly—it was an instant victory!"]

Xi Bowen exaggerated his role, boasting non-stop.

But everyone's focus was on Su Chen. Hardly anyone paid attention to him, aside from a few who asked questions about Su Chen.

And he was more than happy to answer, chatting endlessly with anyone who asked.

Meanwhile, Wu Luxi accidentally saw the pinned announcement.

"The one who saved me was... Su Chen?"

The legendary boss—the one she had traded Perfect-Grade Seeds with?

She could hardly believe it. It felt too unreal.

"This is way too much of a coincidence!"

Wu Luxi started believing this was all fate.

[Ding! You have a private message.]

Su Chen only had a few friends, so he immediately guessed it must be Wu Luxi—the girl he had saved today.

She was quite pretty, with fair and delicate skin.

A bit silly at times, but Su Chen found her rather likable.

Wu Luxi: ("Boss, was the person who saved me today really you?")

Wu Luxi: ("This is such a crazy coincidence!")

Wu Luxi: ("No wonder you rejected my invitation to visit my RV—were you shy?")

Wu Luxi excitedly sent several messages in a row.

Su Chen glanced at them, unsure how to reply.

Su Chen: ("Mm-hmm, it was me.")

Then, Wu Luxi suddenly brought something up.

Wu Luxi: ("Boss, there's something I've been holding back for a long time.")

Wu Luxi: ("I found half of a blueprint for a firearm in a cave up in the mountains.")

Su Chen was very interested in firearms. Even if it was just half a blueprint, the other half was likely still in the cave.

Wu Luxi knew that even if she had the complete blueprint, she wouldn't be able to protect it.

She had already been kidnapped once.

Rather than holding onto something she couldn't keep, it was better to tell Su Chen—this way, she could earn a favor from him.

Maybe he could help her in the future.

Without her previous stash of supplies, she was already struggling to find food.

Su Chen guessed that Wu Luxi might be starving and immediately sent her some meat, purified water, and vegetables.

A deposit, so to speak.

Receiving these supplies, Wu Luxi smiled like a child.

Not only was Su Chen strong, but he was also incredibly generous toward women.

"I will win over Boss Su Chen!"

As the saying goes, when a woman chases a man, it's like a thin veil between them.

Wu Luxi made up her mind.

Meanwhile, lying in his RV and watching TV, Su Chen suddenly sneezed several times.

"What's going on? Is someone talking about me?"
