Wu Luxi looked at Su Chen's indifferent expression.
"Master, would you like to visit my RV later?"
Su Chen was worried about revealing his true identity, so he always maintained a cold and distant demeanor.
"No need, miss. Just take us directly to that paradise you mentioned."
The crowd around them started cheering. For them, the most important thing was that fertile land.
Hearing Su Chen agree to go there, their eyes lit up with excitement.
"Yeah, take us with you! We've had a rough journey."
"I don't need much, just a little food for survival."
"Of course, the biggest share goes to this great master here. We just need enough to fill our stomachs."
"I haven't eaten for days. I came here out of desperation, hoping for some luck."
"Who would choose to wander outside if they had a choice?"
At that moment, Xi Bowen suddenly stepped forward.
"Brothers, don't forget about me! I was the one who led you here."
"Sure, there were some... minor setbacks, but that doesn't change the fact that we've won!"
He then grabbed Su Chen's hand excitedly.
"Master, you're incredible! What's your world ranking?"
Su Chen pushed Xi Bowen's hand away.
"I don't have a ranking. I just want to collect these supplies and go home. My RV is parked nearby, and I'd appreciate it if no one disturbed me."
The crowd was drawn in by Su Chen's cold and aloof attitude.
Not only was he strong, but he was also mysterious.
"Oh my god, is this what a real prince looks like?"
"Handsome guy, can I go home with you?"
Some people even started teasing Xi Bowen.
"Bowen, you looked so heroic when you charged ahead! I thought you'd take down the enemy in one strike."
"Haha, you rushed in too fast. I really respect that."
"As expected of an athlete—you ran way faster than us!"
"Bowen, I barely reacted before you were already lying on the ground."
"Still, even though you went down, your spirit is commendable."
Xi Bowen felt embarrassed by all the teasing.
Scratching his head, he muttered, "Alright, alright, no need to roast me. It was just a miscalculation."
"But the real warrior here is this armored brother. I'm really curious—who are you?"
As he spoke, Xi Bowen suddenly reached out, trying to remove Su Chen's helmet.
"Don't touch me, kid."
The last thing Su Chen wanted was for anyone to uncover his true identity.
Xi Bowen's forceful attempt annoyed him, but Su Chen didn't want to waste time arguing. The real priority was securing the supplies.
So he turned to Wu Luxi.
"Miss, can you take us to that paradise now?"
Wu Luxi was caught off guard, feeling a little shy.
"Oh—uh, sure, I'll take you there..."
Su Chen was already tall at 1.8 meters (5'11"), and with his armor on, he looked even more imposing.
Standing beside him at only 1.6 meters (5'3"), Wu Luxi felt incredibly small in comparison.
His presence gave off a strong sense of security.
The crowd, eager for food, quickly lined up in formation.
They had instinctively started following Su Chen's lead.
Xi Bowen, seeing this, felt frustrated.
"Hey! Aren't you all here because of me?"
But barely anyone responded.
"If you want supplies, follow us—you'll get your share. If you want to be the leader, you're not qualified."
Xi Bowen could only pretend not to care as he quietly blended into the group.
Su Chen rode his white stallion at the front, while Wu Luxi walked beside him, leading the way. Behind them, the rest of the group marched in an orderly line.
They traveled down an endless highway, eventually turning onto a narrow path flanked by fields.
After about half an hour, murmurs of complaint started spreading through the group.
"I'm exhausted. How much longer?"
"Yeah, are we sure this isn't a scam?"
"My stomach is growling. I'm not expecting a feast—just something to fill me up."
Wu Luxi overheard their whispers and reassured them, "Don't worry, we're almost there. The place is well hidden. If I hadn't accidentally fallen, I would've never discovered it."
Her sweet voice and graceful demeanor put the group at ease.
Su Chen, on the other hand, had no such concerns.
Riding a horse at such a slow pace was almost putting him to sleep.
If he weren't keeping pace with the group, he would've arrived much faster.
After weaving through several small paths between fields, they finally reached an open area.
The land stretched about an acre, covered in wild grass and cracked, dry soil.
Seeing the barren land, the crowd began to grumble.
Some of the younger men even started cursing.
"What the hell? We came all this way to rescue you, and this is what we get?"
"There were too many people, so I ended up stepping in mud. Now look—there's nothing here!"
"Damn it, I knew we were getting scammed. Let's go, guys."
Many people left immediately, convinced they had been deceived.
Xi Bowen called out to them, urging them to leave, yet he himself didn't move.
"Master, take me with you! I'm ranked in the world's top 100!"
Su Chen had no interest in taking on a disciple.
He enjoyed living alone.
Taking in a fool like Xi Bowen would only make his life harder.
"No."
Wu Luxi didn't bother stopping those who left.
Instead, she knelt down and brushed aside a pile of wild grass.
"This looks like... a hidden door?"
Some observant people had already noticed that the ground beneath was hollow.
Su Chen peered down, and a gust of cold air rushed up.
"Is this... a giant freezer?"
Wu Luxi nodded.
It turned out that beneath this acre of land was a massive underground freezer filled with food supplies.
Su Chen climbed down.
The sight inside was nothing like he had imagined—it wasn't dark at all.
The food was neatly organized.
There were piles of fruit—apples, watermelons, grapes, cantaloupes...
The meat storage was equally abundant—chicken, beef, lamb—everything one could need.
Even the vegetable supply was plentiful.
This was essentially a miniature supermarket.
If Wu Luxi hadn't been captured, she could've survived here for a long time.
Su Chen quickly gathered the supplies he needed.
As agreed, he would take the largest share.
Once he had everything he wanted, he left immediately.
The remaining food didn't tempt him.
After all, he had the Amplification System, which made resource management much easier.
What he had collected was enough to last him a month.
As Su Chen was about to leave, Wu Luxi called out to him anxiously.
"Master, will we meet again?"
She probably didn't realize that the man standing before her was the same Su Chen she had traded food with earlier.
"We will."
His reply was short, yet carried a deep meaning.
