Honeymoon Bliss and Reflections

It had been a few weeks since their wedding, and the happiness that had filled their hearts seemed to only grow stronger each day. Life had settled into a beautiful rhythm for Milo and Victor. The love they shared was undeniable, and the acceptance from Victor's father, Mr. Henry, had only made it easier to enjoy their days together. Their bond had grown even closer, and they were a family now. It felt like nothing could break their perfect little world.

One evening, during dinner at their mansion, Victor sat beside Milo, grinning ear to ear. It was clear that he had something on his mind. Milo raised an eyebrow in curiosity as Victor took a bite of his food and then placed his fork down with purpose.

"Milo," Victor began, his voice warm and filled with excitement, "how about you and I go on a honeymoon?"

Milo blinked in surprise. "A honeymoon? But... we're already back from the wedding."

Victor chuckled, clearly delighted at his own idea. "No, no. Not just a trip—an actual honeymoon. I spoke with Dad, and he insists we take some time off. He says it'll be good for both of us. It's been a while since I've gone on a proper vacation."

Milo hesitated for a moment, then smiled shyly. The thought of traveling together, away from everything, seemed perfect. "Well, I suppose it could be fun." He smiled bashfully. "But I'm not sure about being away from the house."

Victor reached for his hand across the table, giving it a reassuring squeeze. "Don't worry. We'll make the most of it, I promise."

Victor's excitement was contagious, and in that moment, Milo couldn't help but feel eager to spend more time with Victor, exploring new places and creating unforgettable memories together.

A few days later, they were on a plane, heading toward their honeymoon destination. Victor had planned everything to perfection. A small beach resort located by a quiet ocean, surrounded by lush mountains, was their escape from the world. It was a place of peace and tranquility, where they could enjoy each other's company without any distractions.

They spent the first few days touring the island, exploring beautiful beaches, hiking up to scenic viewpoints in the mountains, and shopping for unique souvenirs to bring back. Every moment was filled with laughter and joy as they experienced it all together.

One afternoon, they found themselves sitting on a bench in a lush garden, the sun beginning to dip below the horizon. Children played nearby, their innocent laughter filling the air, and the peaceful setting made Milo feel content and at ease. He watched them, his mind drifting as the world around him seemed to fade away. Victor returned from getting them ice creams, two cones in hand, and sat down beside Milo.

Victor noticed Milo's pensive expression. "What's on your mind, love?" he asked gently, offering him one of the ice creams.

Milo took the cone, but his gaze remained distant. "Victor… what if I was a woman?" he asked quietly, his voice tinged with curiosity.

Victor blinked, caught off guard by the question. He turned to look at Milo, his expression serious but filled with tenderness. "I love you the way you are, Milo. Why would you even wonder about that?"

Milo chuckled softly, though there was a touch of sadness in his smile. He sighed, then turned his attention back to the children playing in the distance. "It's just… sometimes I wonder. We can't have children of our own, can we? Because... I'm a man."

Victor stared at him for a moment, the weight of Milo's words sinking in. His hand reached for Milo's, holding it gently. The coolness of the ice cream seemed to vanish between them as they shared a silent understanding.

"You're right," Victor said after a while, his voice low but steady. "But that doesn't change how much I love you. I'm happy with you, Milo, just as you are. I've never once thought about what we can't have. I'm just focused on what we do have—each other."

Milo smiled softly, his heart warmed by Victor's words. He hadn't realized how much he'd been struggling with that feeling of inadequacy until now. To have Victor reaffirm his love, regardless of everything, was all that mattered. The ice cream was melting in their hands, but neither of them seemed to care.

"Let's eat these before they melt," Victor said with a teasing smile, his hand still holding Milo's as he took a small bite of the ice cream.

Milo chuckled, nodding in agreement. They sat there for a while longer, savoring their ice creams, allowing the moment to be filled with peace and understanding.

After several days of enjoying their honeymoon, filled with sightseeing, shopping, and new adventures, it was time to head home. The flight back was calm, and Milo couldn't help but feel refreshed, the weight of his earlier thoughts now lighter.

They arrived at the mansion, greeted by the quiet serenity of home. Victor immediately went to work, but Milo had planned to spend some time painting in his studio. As usual, their routine resumed, but now it was tinged with an even deeper sense of happiness and fulfillment.

Later that evening, after a long day of work, Victor came home to find Milo in the living room, already back from his painting session. Milo greeted him with a soft smile, and Victor immediately pecked his forehead in a loving gesture, his eyes glowing with affection.

"Where's Dad?" Milo asked, his eyes glancing around for Mr. Henry.

Victor smiled softly, his gaze turning toward the hallway. "He's in his study. I'll go talk to him in a bit."

"Okay," Milo replied, a little shy still from the thought of his father-in-law. The two men had gotten along well from the start, but Milo couldn't help but feel a bit nervous every time he was around Mr. Henry.

Victor gave Milo's hand a gentle squeeze before heading toward his father's study. "I'll be back soon," he said with a smile before disappearing down the hall.

Milo turned back to the window, watching the evening sky turn from dusky pink to deep blue. There was a quiet sense of peace in the air, and everything felt so right. As he leaned back on the couch, his thoughts drifted to their honeymoon—the joy of exploring new places, the shared memories, and, most of all, the deep love that had blossomed between him and Victor.

He was content. Happy. And he knew that no matter what the future held, he would always have Victor by his side.

And that, for Milo, was all he needed.
