The Battle For Salakar II

Just as the guardians were about to enjoy their temporary reprieve, the battlefield trembled as another violet rift tore open in the sky above. From its swirling depths, a fresh wave of Xal’dar’s monstrous horde poured forth, their obsidian bodies gleaming under the light of the war-torn skies. Wyverns and drakes shrieked as they dived, minotaurs, orcs, and twisted elves roared as they thundered forward, and even harpies swooped down like predators trying to catch prey.

"Didn't even take long," Nehru growled, his teeth gritted against the pain of his wounds.

Nassaria's eyes flashed with determination. "Well I guess this is it then. We're all that stands between Xal'dar's forces and Salakar."

Alora's voice was laced with exhaustion, but her resolve remained unshaken. "We've come too far to turn back now. We'll fight until our last breath, if that's what it takes."
