Chapter 46: C4 - Special Variant - Pursuer

With a deafening explosion, the Asura Path, which had been sliced in half by the Evil God, suddenly came back to life. Though its lower half was destroyed, its upper half remained operational and continued its assault.

The two massive cannons mounted on its shoulders fired a pair of gigantic clay shells, catching the Evil God off guard. With a thunderous blast, the shells detonated upon impact.

Each of these enormous clay shells was the size of a truck and crafted from perfected explosive clay. Their destructive power was immense—easily reaching the level of an S-rank technique.

However, as the flames of the explosion dissipated, the Evil God remained standing, unscathed. His dark skin shimmered faintly with an obscure radiance, showing no signs of injury.

"Hahahaha!"

"This explosion feels amazing! Come on! More! Give me more!"

"Make me feel it!" The Evil God charged toward the Asura Path, boldly positioning himself directly in front of its cannons as if taunting his opponent.

Deidara, however, remained unfazed by the Evil God's reckless behavior. He glanced at the Asura Path and then at Deathwing, both of which had suffered from the explosion.

A simple conclusion came to mind—

The Evil God could only curse one target at a time. After all, the Asura Path had not suffered any feedback damage from the previous blast.

But that no longer mattered. Kakuzu and the others had already retreated to a safe distance. All that remained was to end the battle swiftly and decisively.

—Whoosh!

Deidara spat out a small, white clay sphere. It appeared unremarkable, even somewhat crude. As it fell, its descent accelerated, and within moments, it was directly above the Evil God's head.

"Oh? You don't actually think this little thing is going to kill me, do you?" The Evil God scoffed, a smirk of disdain playing on his lips.

Deidara ignored the taunt. Amidst the roaring wind, he raised his right hand to his chest, his golden hair fluttering as his expression grew feverishly excited.

"Art is… an explosion!"

"Ha!!"

A blazing white sphere erupted, expanding outward with the Evil God at its core. Initially, it was only the size of a house, but in the blink of an eye, it had grown to the size of a mansion.

By the time one's eyes adjusted to the dazzling light, the sphere had already expanded to the size of a hill.

Yet, the expansion showed no signs of stopping. The brilliant white orb continued to spread, melting and engulfing everything in its path, as though it sought to consume the entire landscape.

[Evil God Shock Value +8000]

[Ōnoki Shock Value +4000]

"Super Lightweight Boulder Technique!" Sensing the absurd heat and shockwaves, Ōnoki grabbed Deidara and rapidly ascended to a higher altitude. As he looked down, the blazing sphere below had transformed from white-hot brilliance to a deep crimson inferno.

"What is that technique called? It's beyond ridiculous." Even someone as proud as Ōnoki couldn't help but admit his own insignificance in this moment.

His disciple had reached a level of power beyond his comprehension.

"The Sun!"

"Well? Doesn't the name suit it perfectly?" Deidara's excitement surged at receiving Ōnoki's recognition.

"The Sun…" Ōnoki murmured.

Below them, the fireball had already engulfed several mountain peaks, radiating its light and heat across the entire region. It truly resembled a second sun.

Of course, Ōnoki wasn't the only one left in shock. The shinobi of Heaven Village, who had fled to the distance, were equally dumbfounded.

"Deidara pulled out that move again?"

"Even though this is my second time witnessing it, it's still just as overwhelming." Kakuzu turned his head toward the explosion. The shockwave alone, even at this distance, was strong enough to uproot massive trees.

And under the relentless onslaught of searing heat and fierce winds, the trees spontaneously combusted, adding to the already unbearable heat of the battlefield.

"With this, the Evil God should be dead, right? What a shame—I wanted to finish him myself." Hidan clicked his tongue, a hint of regret in his expression.

However, the outcome defied all expectations.

Just when Deidara was certain the battle was over, a black-and-white figure slowly began to reassemble. Even the crimson scythe in its hands was restored to its original state.

"Hahahaha!"

"Hahahaha!" The Evil God cackled maniacally. He glanced at Deathwing, which had been completely obliterated by the synchronized damage, before shifting his gaze toward Deidara high above.

"That was quite the show. I haven't felt such exhilarating pleasure in ages."

"But unfortunately for you—I am absolutely immortal!"

"Absolutely immortal?"

Both Deidara and Ōnoki found that claim hard to believe.

"Dust Release: Detachment of the Primitive World Technique!"

A transparent, cube-shaped construct formed in Ōnoki's palm. After a brief aim, a blinding energy beam shot downward, enveloping the Evil God in its devastating glow.

Dust Release could disintegrate its target down to the atomic level. There was no way he could regenerate from this.

The Evil God didn't dodge. He merely stood there, watching as Dust Release swallowed him whole, a scornful smile still on his lips.

—Beep.

The Evil God was erased.

But just a few seconds later, the black-and-white figure began to coalesce once more, standing perfectly intact as if nothing had happened.

"I told you—I am absolutely immortal!"

"That's impossible!" Deidara countered. "If you were as invincible as you claim, then why aren't you the leader of the Old Gods?"

"Why were the Six Paths able to suppress you?"

"There must be a weakness. Perhaps a sealing technique, or even a mental-based attack."

"Smart." The Evil God rested his scythe on his shoulder, seemingly impressed.

"But so what? Even if I have a weakness, neither you nor your comrades possess the ability to exploit it."

"My weakness might as well not exist as far as you're concerned."

"No." Deidara disagreed. He spat out a peculiar, wriggling clay construct—a long, segmented worm with numerous tiny holes across its body. Each hole contained a summoning seal.

Deidara tossed it lightly in his hand before hurling it toward the Evil God.

"Still wasting your time?"

"Well, I'll humor you for a bit longer. But if you bore me, I'll turn my attention to your comrades instead."

The Evil God remained motionless, though part of the reason was that he simply had no means of attacking Deidara and Ōnoki in the sky.

He hoped to break their spirits through psychological warfare.

But he had underestimated Deidara. The blonde artist extended both hands downward, continuously releasing identical clay worms. Their sheer numbers resembled a torrential downpour, a vast sea of endless explosives.

"You're out of time."

"Enjoy this—it's a new masterpiece inspired by the Mutually Multiplying Explosive Tags."
