"Next up, Natsu..."
"You took out the Devon Bandit Gang, but you destroyed seven houses, toppled a historic clock tower in their Village, set the entire chapel ablaze, wrecked part of Lupinus City, ..... and finally half-destroyed Hargeon Port."
Lucy was stunned after hearing all that. Had Natsu really caused this much chaos?
"Alzack, Levy, Krov, Reedus, Warren, Bisca…"
"All of you… You've made me get scolded by the council."
"…"
The guild fell silent for a moment.
"But who cares? Those council members can go eat dirt."
Makarov raised his hand, igniting the stack of council documents and burning them to ashes.
"Listen carefully. All extraordinary power is born from the ordinary. Magic isn't some miraculous force. It's the resonance of the natural energy around us with the flow of energy within ourselves, made manifest."
"Magic is the result of concentrating your entire soul—your spirit and focus. If you get hung up on what those idiots up top think, you'll never advance as a wizard. Don't fear those council fools."
"Follow the path you believe in! That's what it means to be a Fairy Tail wizard!"
"Yeah!!!"
Everyone's faces lit up, and the guild's atmosphere became lively and cheerful again.
Kitaro couldn't help but smile as he watched. Compared to the hypocritical "Will of Fire" preached by the Third Hokage, he much preferred Makarov's straightforward philosophy.
Suddenly, Mira remembered something.
"Oh, that's right! Master, we have someone here who wants to join Fairy Tail."
"Oh? Another newcomer? Two new members joining in one day?"
Makarov was intrigued.
"So handsome!"
Lucy gasped when she saw Uchiha Kitaro. He was undeniably attractive, dressed in a style reminiscent of Sasuke, but even more striking.
Kitaro stepped forward. "Hello, my name is Uchiha Kitaro. I'd like to join Fairy Tail."
"Oh? A handsome young man! Reminds me of myself back in the day!"
Even Makarov was taken aback by his good looks.
"Wow! Two newcomers today—one a handsome guy, the other a beautiful girl. This is great! Handsome men and beautiful women are perfect for Fairy Tail!"
"What kind of magic do you use?"
"I practice Celestial Spirit Magic. I'm a Celestial Spirit wizard," Lucy replied.
"Celestial Spirit Magic, huh? Not bad!"
"I don't use magic," Kitaro said plainly.
"What?! You don't know magic?!"
Everyone was stunned. Why would someone who couldn't use magic want to join a wizard guild?
"I may not know magic, but I'm eager to learn. That's why I came to Fairy Tail. I heard it's the strongest wizard guild."
Makarov was impressed by his determination.
"I want to learn the strongest magic, and naturally, I came to the strongest guild."
"Of course, if it's a matter of ability, you don't need to worry. I'm very strong—stronger than anyone here."
"…"
The guild instantly went silent. All eyes were on Kitaro.
His words were like stirring up a hornet's nest. Everyone in the guild was proud of their skills, and now this newcomer—who didn't even know magic—claimed to be stronger than all of them.
"What did you just say?!"
Natsu jumped onto a table, glaring at Kitaro.
"I said I want to join Fairy Tail."
"No, the part after that!"
"I said I'm stronger than anyone here."
"You cocky bastard! Let's settle this with a fight!"
Gray chimed in, "Step aside, Natsu. I'll teach this arrogant guy a lesson!"
"Let me handle it! I'll show him what a real man is!" Elfman roared.
Kitaro raised his hands in apology. "If I've hurt your pride, I'm sorry. I'm just a blunt person who tends to speak the truth. No offense meant."
"You jerk! Fight me now!"
His apology only made the guild even more riled up. Everyone wanted a piece of him.
Makarov, intrigued by Kitaro's confidence, decided to step in.
"Fairy Tail doesn't have strict strength requirements for new members, as long as they know some magic. But if you can't use magic… how about we test your strength?"
Kitaro nodded. "Of course, that's fair. I'd like to see how strong Fairy Tail's wizards are, too."
"Then pick someone to fight. If you win, you're in."
"No need to pick. I'll take that pink-haired guy," Kitaro said, pointing at Natsu.
Natsu froze, then broke into an excited grin.
The others were stunned. This guy sure knew how to pick his battles. With no S-class wizards around, Natsu was one of the strongest here. Of all the people to choose, he went straight for the top.
Was it Natsu's lucky day, or was this guy just plain unlucky?
"Hahaha! You picked me? You've got good taste! Don't worry—I'll go easy on you!"
"No need," Kitaro replied calmly. "If you don't want to lose badly, you'd better give it everything you've got."
