"Yes… Principal Edward, how did you know that I have a talent for magic?" I asked dumbfounded.
"Child, In the decades of my life teaching students, I've seen a variety of students having talents ranging from weakest to the strongest. Due to this experience, I can sense the aura emitting from each student's mana. Each aura has some depth, more the depth is to one's aura then the strength of their magic. From what I can sense from you, your magic has a depth which I'd never seen before in a student. You must have a strength beyond the medium scale of Soul Affinity." Principal Edward gazed at me.
"What?!" The mage guard and uncle who came with us gasped.
Principal Edward shook his head. He shrugged his shoulders, "I'm not bluffing, this kid's aura has a complex depth far from my perception. I don't know to what extent his talents but I can confidently say that he has less talent than the Lord Primordial Demon King, Tenzing Choeying. He is the strongest mage this continent has ever seen in 100 decades, yet he is still worshipped by the cults of mages despite his mysterious origin and strength far exceeding normal people like us."
"H-he is only a 7 year old kid, he doesn't have that kind of talent. He is still inexperienced as a magi." My mom got worried, she dropped the infinity beast and hugged me with caution.
"Madam, it doesn't matter how inexperienced he is. He is still destined to be a magician. He'll be fighting wars on behalf of our kingdom and Madam can't stop it since he's a man after all." He rubbed his beard again and again.
"But…" Mom bites her lips. "He's my only child. Besides him, I don't have any relatives to call. I can only support him towards learning magic but to fight wars, I can't let him go!"
"Madam, Don't be overprotective towards your child. It'd only hinder his progress to the strongest mage in the entire Winya Kingdom." Principal Edward took a book out of the shelf and gave it to her, "Madam, these are all the students who had gotten into the hall of fame despite their low talent, so what can your highly talented kid can't do if he's just worked hard?"
"Mom…" I cried a little.
"I'm sorry, my son." She trembled. "I don't want to lose you like your father…"
Principal Edward, the mage guard and caravan elder looked at each other.
"Mom, don't worry. I won't lose my life like my father, I'll protect you from any danger!"
Like my original mother, I'd protect you also.
"Ahem!" Principal Edward coughed. "Little Guy, show me what your magic is?"
My mom let loose my neck and I walked over him.
I placed my arms before him and Black red fumes came out from it.
My eyes turned red, like burning fire, my magic surged from it before him.
Principal's eyes and mouth became wide, "What?! Black Magic?"
The magic guard smiled wickedly.
Uncle was shocked by the sudden appearance of black magic.
"Yes. I'm a dark magi!"
"No way! A human having such magic…" He became gloomy and he muttered. "Is he from that family? There's no way an ordinary kid like him…"
"What happened?" I was puzzled. I saw him recover from the shock.
"Madam, are you really from a normal peasant family?" He asked her.
"Certainly…" She pretended to smile.
"If then you both can rest in the school dormitory, you send them back. And Mr. Daris from tomorrow onwards you'll be trained by a well known black magician!" He grunted with some disdain in his eyes.
"Ok!" I noticed his changes in expression.
I grabbed my mom's hand and followed the mage guard's lead.
Uncle also came with us hurriedly, "Don't forget me, young sir?!"
When I was about to exit the room, I looked at his dark expression for the last time now.
Since everyone was gone. The room fell silent. Principal Edward turned his way to the window.
"Shadows of the past will never be rewritten! You damn clan!" He cursed while looking outside of the window contemplating what happened decades ago.
****
We reached the dormitory of Cyrus Academy with the help of this mage guard. It was white brownish room with two normal beds suitable for 2 people to stay in this room perfectly. There were yellow runic patterns embedded on the ceiling and door. The desk was clean with except for a few 1-3 notebooks pile in the corner. We had put all lagguges with
"Thanks for your help, Mage Guard and Uncle!" I smiled at both of them.
"Its nothing young sir, to be help is our pleasure. It's time for me to go back, if you kindly give my money then I…" I took a bag full of Coins and gently placed on his palms. He smiled with full wrinkles on his face. But there is a trace of envy existed on his eyes. Perhaps his regret of not having a talent for magic and physical strength, that he'd to take driver role to feed his family and himself.
"Thanks for the payment, young sir!" He started to walk forward but stopped, "If young sir and madam wanted to travel somewhere be sure to call me, I'll help you travel to that place."
"Ok. Uncle." I smiled and waved my hands.
"I'm going too." the mage guard replied at leaving uncle. He did throw a last glance at me while smiling broadly.
I sighed after two of them left. I landed myself at the big bed. Stretching my whole body in a different direction, feeling the elongated tissue relaxations. I kept staring at my mom and black infinity beast which was sitting on the floor.
My mom was unpacking our luggages and stuffing into the cupboards near the room.
'Finally some relaxation time after a few days of struggle.' I hummed.
Mom didn't ask to help her because she knows that I'm sick.
'And I will take classes from tomorrow onwards! One step closer to my goal!'
My tired eyes quickly closed their lids. Falling to slumber.
[It's just the beginning] Cingar roared.
Author's Note: The Classes would start soon. I'm still reading the WMW novel for additional reference. Long chapters await you but I'll never drag the chapter but it will still be slow progress with pretty much more worldbuilding exploring the Winya Kingdom bit by bit. There will be action and we'll have more NPCs and side characters to progress the story. The next novel is based on the SAO series.
