Scene 5 - Divine duty (1)

The flickering light of virtual reality enveloped us, transporting us to a new digital universe in the blink of an eye. The swirl of pixels and data carried us away from the hall of the gods, plunging us into a world where only challenges had a tangible reality.

The transition to virtual reality enveloped us in a gripping sensory experience. Although we knew it was all digital data, the illusion of reality was so convincing that every detail seemed palpable, every virtual breeze caressed our skin in an almost real way.

We found ourselves in an ethereal world, where every pixel had the sharpness of real vision. Vibrant colors, crystalline sounds and detailed textures surrounded us, creating an environment that, despite its digital origin, seemed as alive as the real world.

It was as if we'd been projected into another world, where the rules of physics and reality were both familiar and strangely distorted. Every step we took echoed on the virtual floor, every breath accompanied by the soft murmur of algorithms.

In this environment of almost tangential reality, the mission ahead seemed all the more intense, a challenge that would test not only our skills, but also our ties with our divine parents.

A shiver ran down my spine as I took in the mission before me, a task that seemed as imposing as the memories of my mother that guided it. Every detail of the mission seemed designed to test the bonds between the deities and their mortal children.

As I scanned the blurred contours of this new reality, I realized that these missions were an extension of our relationships with our parents. While for some, like Saé, the task might seem simple and familiar, for others, like Edano and myself, it promised to be a complex and thorny challenge, revealing aspects of our relationships we had perhaps not dared explore before.

In the digital canvas of virtual reality, Edano emerged onto a battlefield where the tumult of war reigned supreme. Soldiers clashed in a ballet of violence, and the clash of weapons filled the electricity-charged air. High up, perched on a tower, Edano watched the chaotic scene before him with a mixture of fascination and apprehension.

"What the hell have I landed in," he muttered, his eyes scanning the battlefield with growing suspicion.

Then a luminescent notice popped up in front of him, a blue window in this ocean of tumult, coldly announcing the terms of his ordeal.

The Cloak of the Orichalcum Owl, a legendary artifact imbued with Athena's protection, wrapped around his shoulders, while L'Harmonieux Argenté, a sword forged by the goddess herself, was ready to be wielded.

Speaking into the void, Edano expressed his apparent assurance. "If I've understood correctly, all I need to do is defeat the king on the opposite tower." A mission he considered relatively straightforward on the face of it.

Edano stood atop his tower, surveying with determination the opposite tower where the king he was to dethrone resided. His heart beat with increasing intensity as he mentally prepared himself for the confrontation ahead. He adjusted his cloak firmly, feeling the reassuring weight of the shield it represented on his shoulders. His gaze fell on the sword he held firmly in his right hand, a symbol of the determination and courage he was ready to deploy.

Without hesitation, Edano leapt into the void from the edge of his tower, embracing the sensation of freedom that washed over him as he fell. The wind whistled in his ears as he tumbled down the floors, his mind focused on the objective awaiting him below.

Landing gracefully on the ground below, Edano didn't waste a second. He rose nimbly to his feet, ready to face the many soldiers standing in his way. Eyes shining with determination, he threw himself into the fray with impressive fluidity, his movements revealing a perfect mastery of his art.

The enemy soldiers, surprised by the speed and grace of his attack, were momentarily caught off guard. Edano took the opportunity to strike with precision, his movements deadly effective. His sword sliced through the air with devastating power, each blow bearing the weight of his determination to win.

Opponents fell under his onslaught, overwhelmed by the strength and unwavering determination of their enemy. Edano never slowed down, his heartbeat quickening as the adrenalin of battle coursed through him. Every move was calculated, every blow delivered with surgical precision.

Despite the growing number of enemies converging on him, Edano didn't back down. His cape acted as an impenetrable bulwark, deflecting enemy attacks with formidable efficiency. He was a force of nature, a whirlwind of controlled violence that swept away everything in its path.

The battle was on, and Edano was determined to emerge victorious. Nothing could stop him in his quest to dethrone the king and claim his rightful place on the throne.

As the battle raged around him, Edano moved with impressive grace and efficiency, but even the most skilled fighter could be taken by surprise. One of the opposing soldiers, more cunning than the rest, managed to break through Edano's defense, opening a breach in his otherwise impenetrable posture.

"What? How's that possible?"

Edano was momentarily taken aback, but his sharp mind quickly understood what was happening.

"I see... The opposing soldiers are adapting as the battle progresses. They're adjusting their tactics according to my strength and movements."

Gathering his inner calm, Edano concentrated.

"On the battlefield, it's not enough to show your brute strength right from the start. You have to know how to reserve a secret boot, a trump card that can turn the tide of battle in an instant."

With renewed determination, Edano activated his combat mastery.

"Maestria combat mastery!"

This skill, acquired and honed over the years, was already at level 12. But thanks to the sword of Athena he held firmly in his hands, his maestria increased by three more levels, reaching an impressive 15.

[Combat Mastery - Level 12 +3!]

In a burst of sparkling light, the sword seemed to come alive in his fingers, radiating mystical power and an aura of absolute determination. Edano felt overwhelmed by this transcendent energy, his senses sharpened as never before.

With a roar of defiance, Edano threw himself back into the fray, his sword an extension of his will. The movements he now executed were imbued with deadly precision, each blow bearing the weight of his newfound power. Opposing soldiers retreated before him, caught off guard by their opponent's sudden surge of power.

Edano was a force to be reckoned with. With his mastery of combat brought to a climax, he was ready to face any challenge, to overcome any obstacle on his path to victory.

Edano was a force of nature, a veritable wild beast who unleashed unparalleled fury on his enemies. With his mastery of combat amplified by Athena's sword, he had become a whirlwind of destruction, sweeping aside everything in his path with disconcerting ease. Opposing soldiers, now crushed by his superhuman strength, retreated before him in disorder, unable to resist his relentless assault.

As he drew ever closer to the enemy tower, Edano felt a surge of excitement in his veins.

"It's the perfect time to go on the ultimate offensive!"

With firm determination, he decided it was the right time to climb the tower and confront the king hiding inside.

Taking advantage of the chaos he had sown among the enemy soldiers, Edano pushed his way through the ranks, mercilessly fending off those who dared to stand in his way. When he finally reached the tower gates, he took no time to procrastinate. With a powerful kick, he smashed them down, shattering them.

Without hesitation, Edano dashed inside, ready to face the king awaiting him at the top. The spiral staircase seemed endless, but Edano didn't falter. Each step brought him a little closer to his ultimate goal, the long-awaited confrontation that would decide the fate of their kingdom.

Finally, after a grueling climb, Edano reached the top of the tower. Before him stood the king, seated on his ivory throne, a glint of defiance in his eyes.

After a fierce battle with the soldiers, Edano had managed to reach the top of the opposing tower, where a young boy with a pale face and wavy black hair stood before him.

Ready to assign him a direct hit, Edano was surprised when the boy turned to him and greeted him in a strangely familiar manner.

"Oh, there you are!"

Then, when he saw the boy's face, the rigidity of Edano's expression broke in two to reveal a mixture of shock and surprise.

"No! This isn't what should be happening," he murmured, unable to hide his emotion.
