NERVOUSLY

Time passed quickly and lunch time came. The two kids-I mean, the kid and the man who has a child's mind just finished playing. For some reason, Raven enjoyed Dwight's brick toy even more.

The smile on their faces was wide as they face down on the floor where the plastic bricks were in front of them. From time to time, he even swayed his two legs while giggling everytime Dwight accidentally breaks what he was doing.

"I need blue for my rooftop, Baby.. Give me some." Raven said while looking for blue bricks.

The little boy stood up quickly and gave him what he was looking for.

"Thank you my Prince. How's your building?" He gave the boy a kiss on the cheek before accepting the bricks.

"Good."

"Oh yeah? Lemme see? Oh! That's beautiful. Looks like a building with no other choice but to be demolished." His eyes widened as he started laughing at what he saw.

"Demolished? Ish it bad?"

"No! Of course not, it's pretty. It's unique. I love it!" Raven quickly hugged the little boy who giggled.

He was only stopped from playing with Dwight when someone suddenly knocked the open door. And when he looked back at who it was, he gulped.

"Great job. You can go down. My men have already brought your things." Xavier quickly got closer to their place to picked up his son.

How can a man remains casual and cold everytime you see him? It's as if he doesn't have any feelings or emotions. Except his cold gaze that is similar to the gaze of the predator.

"Daddy.!" Dwight happily stretched out his two little arms to greet his father.

While Raven blushed and quickly stood up and forgot to say thank you before going out. Wondering if his boss has just arrived? Did he see what he and Dwight were doing? Did he hear him calling him Mama?

Seeing the three cartoons of his things downstairs, Raven thanked those who brought them. Especially Edward who was sitting on the sofa while looking at the notebook he was holding.

"You can bring those to your room. We're not going to stay here longer. I still have an afternoon meeting. How's Dwight?" Xavier finally went down stairs while carrying Dwight.

"He behaves like a good child, sir. I was going to let him sleep after playing but, you came back." He answered with lowered head.

"Alright. Edward has finished the contract I asked to be made, you can check it. By the way, have you seen my maids?"

"Yes sir. Mrs. Glenda cooked for us. She even showed me around."

"Good. Now, hurry up. Take your things to your room."

Raven obeyed quickly and in just a few minutes, he was done. He will unbox later when Dwight is asleep.

He also forgot to call John. Maybe later at night. After all, his friend is also busy. When he went down the stairs, he approached Edward first. The man handed him the paper containing the contract. He read it for a while before signing.

1,267 pesos a day, free meals, free necessities, and stay in. It's a once in a lifetime opportunity to save money. Who would have thought that after the 2020's, the minimum wage of workers would have increased?

If it wasn't for the virus that spread in the year 2026, maybe there would be no ABO today. Scientists call Alpha, Beta, and Omega as ABO.

People started evolving after the virus. And with the help of scientific research, people also discovered the antidote. However, the evolution already spreads around the world. Some people couldn't accept the changes at first, but as the days passed, they slowly embraced it.

"Done signing?" Xavier asked while taking the seat on his right side.

"Yes Sir." Raven answered.

"Tomorrow, my driver will pick you up. You need to bring Dwight to his doctor for his monthly check up."

Raven nodded while listening. Every child who has not yet reached the age of fifteen, must have a monthly check up to supervise their gender transformation. And when they reach the age of fifteen, the transformation will awaken their secondary gender. That's how it goes.

And Raven indeed, was marked as Beta, because he never had a transformation. It was actually great, if it wasn't for his step father's corrupted soul. To be honest, for Raven, it's not enough for her step father to be imprisoned. He wants him to suffer triple, compared to what he experienced.

"Yes sir." Raven replied after handing the copy of the contract back to Edward.

"Take Dwight upstairs. I'm leaving too. Hold on, do you have Edward's number?"

Raven secretly flinched when accidentally his and Xavier's skin touches when the man gave the child back to him.

"No. but I gave him my number, sir."

"That's okay. He'll call you later. Don't forget to call him if there is an emergency."

"Yes."

"En. Bye Baby." Xavier bent down again to kiss the forehead of his son who was in Raven's arms again.

"Bye Daddy.." The boy answered as he snuggled into Raven's chest.

"I'll go now. Let's go Edward." Xavier stood up to leave again.

So, Raven got up too to hopefully went upstairs. However..

"Mama? Shall we play?"

Raven's whole body seemed to stiffen when he heard what Dwight said. He couldn't even move because of his nervousness. Why now?!

"Mama? Who is Dwight calling Mama?" Xavier asked in a cold voice as he quickly approached behind Raven.

'Fuck!' Raven's brain screamed.

"Did anyone come here?" Xavier's voice sounded like thunder to Raven's ears at that moment. He also felt the chilling energy enveloping his body.

"N-No sir! It's just.. Well you see.. Dwight is.," How can he say that Dwight is the one who wants to call him Mama?!

"Daddy, you angry with Mama?"

OK! Goodbye world! I did have a fucking miserable life! Raven's brain screamed as he hugged Dwight tighter.

"Huh! Fuck." Xavier literally cursed before combing his fingers through his hair.

The man stared at him darkly while Raven saw how his jawline moved.

"I-its not what you think sir. I tried to tell him to stop calling me that. But Dwight is-" Raven felt like he was going to cry from the nervousness.

Oh God in heaven, he needs this job!

"So you're saying, Dwight addresses you like that, even though you already explained everything to him?" The man's gaze is like a knife ready to cut his throat.

"Y-Yes.. I'm sorry. I really can't change the way he calls me. But I'll try-"

"Forget it. You can't force him to change something he already decided." Xavier said with a sigh. "Damn it!" He also added, albeit weakly.

Why does he seem to be the one to blame?! If the man had just told his son immediately what to call him, then this awkwardness never happened!

Raven bowed in annoyance. He couldn't do anything but keep quiet. He's just a baby sitter anyway.

"Daddy Angwy at Mama.." Dwight said again, further weakening Raven's remaining confidence.

He's scared.

"No Baby. I'm not angry. You sleep after I left, got it?" Xavier ruffled his son's hair. Before glancing at Raven who remained bowed. "We'll talk when I get back." It said with full authority before turning away.
