Chapter 30

LISA POV

Anna has always been fond of picking on others. She often treated people like Karliah more like dirt under her feet, but I wasn't going to let her have her way, especially since Karliah was involved.

We might have been best friends during our childhood, but that's all in the past now.

Karliah seemed to be surprised to see that I defended her, but the truth was that I would defend her any time.

"You're not going to win this battle, Lisa."

I turned around, facing Anna. It seemed like she followed me. I turned around, facing her.

"It's like you can't get enough of me," I taunted.

I stretched out my hands.

"Come on, give me some love."

"I'm not here to play your mind games, Lisa."

I crossed my arms over my chest, taking a step closer toward her.

"Then why are you here, Anna?"

"I want to warn you personally in case you've forgotten where you stand, Princess Lisa."
