KARLIAH POV
Lisa smirked at me in response.
She had this light glow in her eyes. Maybe I was just being paranoid.
"So what brings you to Cordelia, Lady Karliah?"
I smiled at her.
"Actually, you can drop the 'lady' part and just call me Karliah."
Lisa cocked a brow at me.
"Just Karliah?" she prompted.
I nodded quietly.
"Yes, just Karliah."
"Okay, I'll call you by your first name then."
"That would be great."
Lisa sat upright.
"You still haven't told me what you're doing in Cordelia."
I giggled softly.
"So you couldn't extract my purpose here from your so-called sources?"
Lisa made a picky face and smirked wickedly.
"Don't use your smart mouth on me, Karliah. Maybe my sources might not have been accurate today."
"So let me guess, you're some kind of spy?"
Lisa shook her head negatively.
"Whatever gave you that impression?"
"I don't mean to judge you by your appearance, but you seemed to know so much about me and—"
