NICK POV

I was about to head into my room when a voice stopped me.

"We need to talk."

I turned around, facing her with a frown on my face.

"Kate, I don't have time to play one of your mind games. I've had a long day, and I would like to get some rest."

"It's about Karliah, and maybe you might find this information interesting."

Upon hearing Karliah's name, this had my total attention.

"And what about Karliah?"

"Maybe we should talk about this in private because it's very sensitive information."

I opened the door to my bedroom.

"This better be good, Kate."

"Oh, trust me, you'll get the shock of your life."

Once we were inside, I shut the door quietly behind us, folding my arms over my chest.

"I've given you privacy, so start talking."

Kate made herself comfortable on the bed.

"I think Karliah is cheating on you."

This made me mad.

"Excuse me?"

She smiled at me.
