Chloe and Raven exchanged a glance before turning back to the hologram.
"We have something important to tell you," Chloe said, her voice serious.
"It's about Felix. We taught him your habits he needs to tell you his habits," Raven said with a firm tone.
Atticus raised an eyebrow, his expression now one of surprise.
"You taught Felix my habits?" he repeated.
"Why?"
Chloe shrugged and Raven just smirked.
"We thought it would be funny," Chloe said with a sly grin.
Atticus rolled his eyes but couldn't help chuckling slightly.
"Alright then," he said.
"Let's hear it."
"I always read books in my dad office, I like green apples, I only drink some apple juice but dislike orange juice, I always go on my computer to check on coding that I created, I also study mathematics, literature, science, and different languages," Felix said as he listed off his habits. The three siblings all had the same thought he is so much like mommy a clean freak.
Atticus listened intently to Felix's list, his expression unreadable. When he was done speaking, Atticus was silent for a moment before breaking into a wide grin.
"Wow," he said.
"I can't believe how much we have in common."
Chloe and Raven exchanged looks of surprise at Atticus' reaction. They had expected him to be annoyed or upset but instead he seemed amused by the whole situation.
Chloe and Raven exchanged another look, both of them silently nodding in agreement. It was uncanny how much Felix resembled their mother in his habits and mannerisms.
"You're basically a mini version of mommy," Chloe whispered with a hint of amusement.
Atticus chuckled on the hologram screen.
"You definitely inherited Mommy's intelligence," he said with a smile.
"But I'm curious about something…"
Felix looked up at Atticus' face on the screen, his expression slightly anxious.
"What?" he asked quietly.
Atticus' smile widened.
"I'm just wondering if you inherited Mommy's stubbornness as well," he teased.
"She can be pretty damn stubborn when she wants to be."
Felix's cheeks flushed slightly at the mention of his mother's stubbornness. He knew all too well how determined and unyielding she could be when she wanted something.
"Uh…yeah," he admitted quietly.
"I think I might have inherited that trait from her as well."
Atticus chuckled again, clearly amused by the admission.
"Well then," he said with a smirk. "Looks like you're well on your way to becoming a spitting image of Mommy."
Chloe and Raven both snickered quietly beside Felix.
Felix felt a mix of pride and embarrassment at the comparison to his mother. On one hand, he was honored to be like her but on the other hand he couldn't help feeling a little self-conscious.
"Don't worry," Atticus said with a gentle smile.
"It's not all bad being like Mommy."
"Definitely not," Chloe agreed, patting Felix on the shoulder reassuringly.
Raven nodded, her expression softening.
"Yeah," she said quietly. "Mommy is tough but she's also the most loving person I know."
The three siblings fell silent again, each lost in their own thoughts about their mother and the secrets they were keeping from her.
Atticus' face appeared on the hologram screen once again, his expression now serious.
"You guys better be careful," he warned.
"Mommy is smart and she has a sixth sense for these things."
"What sixth sense?" Felix asked.
Atticus chuckled slightly.
"Mommy has always been able to sense when something is off," he explained.
"It's like she has some kind of intuition that tells her when we're hiding something from her."
Felix's eyes widened slightly as he listened to Atticus' explanation. He had never realized how perceptive his mother was.
"So you're saying she might figure out that I'm not really Atticus?" he asked quietly.
"Yup mommy is smart and an idiot but mommy hobby is sleeping so…." Atticus sighed and shook his head.
Chloe and Raven both nodded in agreement.
"Yeah, Mommy loves to sleep," Chloe said.
"She's always taking naps."
Raven smirked.
"Sometimes I think she sleeps more than Atticus."
Atticus rolled his eyes at Raven's comment but couldn't help smiling.
"Hey," he protested. "I don't sleep that much."
Chloe chuckled.
"Yeah right. You're always passed out in your room."
"Now I think about we all have mommy habits!"
The three siblings looked at each other in surprise. It was true, they all had inherited certain traits from their mother.
Felix thought about how he liked reading books and studying just like Mommy did. Chloe thought about how she always had to be the best at everything, just like Mommy. And Raven thought about how she was a bit of a perfectionist and liked things done her way, also just like Mommy.
They all fell silent for a moment as they realized the extent of their similarities with their mother.
Atticus cleared his throat.
"Anyway I think daddy is coming up I need to go," Atticus said and hanged up.
The three siblings all looked at the now blank hologram screen where Atticus' face had been.
Chloe and Raven exchanged a glance before looking down at Felix.
"Looks like it's just us now," Chloe said quietly.
Felix nodded, feeling a pang of sadness as he realized Atticus had hung up.
"He just left," he said quietly. "Just like that."
Raven put her hand on his shoulder comfortingly.
"He's probably just tired," she said gently.
"You know how Atticus is."
"Like mommy Atticus loves to sleep so he most likely wants to go to sleep," Chloe said and she nodded head.
Felix felt a lump form in his throat as he thought about how much alike Atticus and their mother were.
"Yeah," he said quietly.
"I guess that's true."
The three siblings stood there in silence for a moment longer before Chloe spoke up again.
"We should probably get some rest too," she suggested.
"Goodnight," Chloe and Raven said in unison.
They both gave Felix a gentle pat on the head before turning and heading to their own rooms. The hotel room was quiet now, except for the sound of crickets chirping outside.
Felix climbed into bed, pulling the covers up over his head. He closed his eyes and tried to clear his mind but he couldn't stop thinking about Atticus and their mother.
The more he thought about it, the more similarities he saw between them. They were both intelligent, hardworking, stubborn…and they both loved to sleep.
Felix rolled onto his side with a sigh. It was like they were two peas in a pod.
Chloe and Raven were in their separate rooms also trying to fall asleep but couldn't because they kept thinking about their mom.
The room was quiet, the only sound being the soft rustling of sheets as Chloe and Raven tried to get comfortable in their beds. But despite their best efforts, sleep eluded them.
They both lay there silently for a while before Chloe broke the silence.
"You awake?" she whispered into the darkness.
Raven shifted in her bed, rolling onto her side to face Chloe.
"Yeah," she whispered back.
"Can't sleep either."
Raven nodded, her eyes also beginning to droop with sleepiness.
"Yeah," she agreed quietly.
"I want that too."
Raven leaned back against the headboard of her bed and let out a sigh.
"I'm tired," she mumbled, closing her eyes as well.
Chloe yawned again and rubbed her eyes sleepily.
"Me too," she said.
"But I don't think our parents are going to fall in love anytime soon."
She rolled over onto her side and buried her face into her pillow with a groan of frustration.
Raven chuckled softly at Chloe's dramatic display.
"You're so impatient," she teased quietly.
"Love takes time, you know."
Raven closed her eyes again but couldn't help smiling slightly.
Chloe and Raven eventually fell asleep but Felix couldn't sleep at all.
Felix tossed and turned in his bed, trying to find a comfortable position. But no matter what he did, sleep eluded him. He couldn't get his mind to shut off and every time he closed his eyes, images of Atticus and their mother flashed through his head.
He glanced at the clock on the bedside table - it was already past midnight.
Felix decided to walk where his mother room was he opened the door and saw a beautiful woman wearing just a hoodie sleeping on a soft bed as she looked so peaceful there was a teddy bear that she hugged in her sleep. Felix chuckled so she liked daddy teddy bear gift huh?
Isabella lay there in her bed, completely unaware of Felix's presence. She was curled up on her side, hugging a large teddy bear tightly against her chest. Her face was relaxed and peaceful in sleep, with a slight smile playing at the corners of her lips.
She looked so different from when she was awake - softer and more vulnerable.
Felix stood there for a moment, watching his mother sleep. He had never seen her look so beautiful and peaceful before.
He took a step closer to the bed and reached out to touch her hair, which was spread out across the pillow in soft waves.
Isabella stirred slightly as Felix's hand touched her hair. She let out a soft sigh and nuzzled her face into the pillow, still fast asleep.
Felix couldn't help but smile at how cute she looked in this moment. He sat down on the edge of the bed, being careful not to wake her up.
