Chapter 108. New Quest to Orleans

The Satria family stood at the bustling heart of Tokyo, surrounded by the vibrant energy of the city. Neon lights flickered in dazzling colors, illuminating the crowded streets filled with lively chatter. The scent of grilled street food and sweet pastries wafted through the air, making their stomachs rumble in anticipation.

Today was a day of exploration, a rare moment of leisure in the land of Rimuru's past life.

As they wandered through the electric streets of Akihabara, two unseen observers—Veldora and Ifrit—watched from within, their curiosity piqued.

To beings who once roamed lands of magic and monsters, the futuristic urban jungle of Japan felt like something straight out of a fantastical dream.

[Veldora]: "Look at this place! It's like heaven! So many shops! So much manga! I can't believe we're finally here! These humans may not have magic, but they've created wonders! Look at all these little machines!"

[Ifrit]: "So this is the homeland of our Host… But, Lord Veldora, who is this 'Golden Emperor'?"

[Veldora]: "Kuhahaha! That's right! This is where Rimuru originally came from! As for this Golden Emperor... I've never heard of him in my world, but he sounds strong! I don't know how strong, but now I really want to fight him!"

[Ifrit]: "You say that like it's no big deal. But to transport beings like us across dimensions so effortlessly... That's a feat worthy of respect."

[Veldora]: "Hah! For a True Dragon like me, traveling between realms is easy! But I'll admit, getting here this fast? That was impressive!"

Satria, listening to the conversation of battle maniacs inside Rimuru, sighed inwardly.

"Another one? First Valiana, then Fran, then Crom… and now this musclehead dragon. Just how many battle freaks are going to find their way to me? And please… for the love of all things holy, don't turn into a girl for some reason."

Shaking off his thoughts, Satria refocused on the present.

Rimuru, Fatalis, Great Red, Ophis, and Satria had settled into a cozy booth in a themed café, surrounded by plush decorations and vibrant food. Their table was covered with adorable treats—character-shaped pancakes with smiling faces, colorful parfaits, and sweets so elaborately designed that they almost felt too cute to eat.

Rimuru grinned mischievously as she picked up a spoonful of parfait, turning toward Satria with an unmistakable sparkle in her eyes.

"Alright, my Emperor of Puppies, say 'ahh'! You've got to try this—it's way too cute to eat alone!"

Satria's face twitched. "Who are you calling the Emperor of Puppies?!"

He leaned back slightly, sulking as he averted his gaze. "Hmph! I can eat by myself, you know! I don't need you to feed me!"

Fatalis giggled. "Oh, don't be shy! Just look at Rimuru's adorable face—how can you say no to that?"

Great Red smirked, not about to miss out on the fun. She scooped up a bite of a chibi-shaped pancake and leaned in.

"Come on, Satria! This is an important experience! Here, have a taste!"

Before he knew it, he was caught between Rimuru and Great Red, both holding out spoons with overly exaggerated, pleading expressions. His face grew warmer as the two continued their antics.

Satria sighed, finally relenting. "Alright, alright! But only because you all won't leave me alone—"

Chomp!

Before he could even open his mouth, Ophis swiftly snatched the cake from his plate and took a bite.

"Mmm. Yummy~" she hummed.

Satria's expression darkened. "...Oi. That was my cake."

Rimuru a and Great Red exchanged victorious grins before high-fiving each other.

"Mission accomplished!" Rimuru declared. "We successfully upset Satria!"

Fatalis chuckled, patting his head. "There, there, leave our little puppy alone. Here… Say 'ahh'—open up, my boy."

Despite himself, Satria leaned forward, letting Fatalis feed him a spoonful of parfait. The sweetness melted on his tongue, mixing with the warm atmosphere around them. He couldn't help but chuckle at their antics.

The café buzzed with laughter as they continued their meal, stealing each other's treats, teasing mercilessly, and savoring every moment.

It was a day they would remember—not for epic battles or grand adventures, but for the simple joy of friendship, playfulness, and memories made over stolen sweets and laughter.

Satria Mansion

Kuoh, Japan

Satria gulped, standing stiffly before the door of his own home.

"Y-You can do it, Satria. You're the head of this family. What kind of man is scared of his own wife in this age? Just enter and face it like a real man… Simple as that."

But despite his internal pep talk, his feet refused to move forward.

Meanwhile, Rimuru, standing beside him, suddenly felt her heart race. She had heard from Satria and the others that his first wife was a strict woman—a person who valued tradition and discipline. The thought of being judged by her made the usually fearless slime feel oddly self-conscious.

Great Red, on the other hand, stood tall and confident. As the Dragon God, she wasn't the type to bow her head to anyone. If a battle for dominance was necessary, then she was more than ready to fight for the title of 'alpha' in this family.

Fatalis, noticing Rimuru's unease, smirked and leaned in. "Is the mighty Empress of Tempest actually nervous? I thought nothing could shake you!"

Rimuru's blush deepened as she whispered back. "Oh, stop! I've fought demon lords, but this… this is different. What if she doesn't like me?"

Fatalis chuckled, giving Rimuru's hand a reassuring squeeze. "Relax. Kiyohime may be strict, but she's not unreasonable. Just be yourself. She'll see what I see—a strong, caring woman who belongs here."

Rimuru nodded, though she still felt like she was walking into a battlefield unarmed.

As they entered the grand hall of the Satria family home, Kiyohime stood waiting with a calm, composed demeanor. Her sharp, assessing eyes took in everything—Rimuru, Great Red, Fatalis, even the slight nervous twitch in Satria's expression.

Her poised stance and controlled presence sent a chill down the spines of the newcomers. Rimuru and Great Red felt as though they were being evaluated, judged, and measured all at once.

"Welcome back, Danna-sama." Kiyohime greeted her husband politely, her voice smooth but unreadable. "How was your vacation? It must have been so much fun… that you decided to bring home another bride?"

The sheer calmness of her voice was more terrifying than if she had outright snapped.

Satria, sweating bullets, quickly activated his emergency survival tactic—bribery.

"Ehm… Oh yeah! I almost forgot… Here!" He hastily presented a collection of carefully chosen gifts—her favorite snacks, exquisite accessories that matched her aesthetic, and a few other trinkets of appeasement. "My precious snake hime, I hope you're… pleased with this offering!"

Kiyohime's expression did not change, but the slight pink dusting her cheeks gave her away.

"Hmph." She crossed her arms but accepted the gifts. "Welcome, Rimuru Tempest and Great Red. I've heard much about you both… from my husband's clones." Her gaze lingered on them with a mix of curiosity and amusement. "To think that the Strongest Creature in this world and the Demon Lord of another world have fallen for this bad puppy of mine."

Satria's face twitched. "Oi, what do you mean by 'bad puppy'?"

The Dragon God, sensing the thinly veiled hostility, maintained her composure. Great Red's eyes narrowed slightly as she addressed Kiyohime with a calm yet unwavering tone.

"I came here out of respect for Satria, not to challenge anyone. I do not seek to threaten your position, nor do I desire conflict. I simply wish to be by his side."

Kiyohime raised an eyebrow. "Oh? And do you vow to make him happy?"

"I do." Great Red said with absolute certainty.

Satria, who had been observing the exchange, felt an odd sense of déjà vu before suddenly realizing something.

"Wait a minute! Why am I the one being treated like some maiden here?! Isn't it supposed to be me saying all that to you?!"

Before anyone could respond, an excited blur suddenly burst into the room.

"ARE YOU SERIOUS?!"

Valiana, unable to contain herself, rushed in at full speed, her eyes gleaming with excitement.

"Hubby actually brought home the Strongest Existence in this world as part of his harem?! Where is she?! I have to see this for myself!"

Her gaze locked onto Great Red, and she immediately froze in awe.

"Impossible…! How could this weirdo possibly subdue such a creature?!" Albion shocked.

Great Red smirked. "Subdue? Oh no, I came willingly."

And then, as if the chaos wasn't already reaching critical levels…

Cromwell began breathing heavily.

Inside her mind, a storm of forbidden emotions and desires raged uncontrollably.

"Ahhh~ He is a truly outstanding specimen… The longer I endure, the worse this gets…"

Crom's breathing became erratic as her face flushed red, her deepest thoughts slipping through the cracks of her restraint.

"I want Lord Satria to love me… to pamper me… to mark me as his…"

Her body trembled.

"I… I can't hold it in anymore… I want him to… to create havoc inside me… to take me as his… to—"

Satria, who unfortunately could hear Crom's inner voice, nearly choked on his own breath.

His face turned bright red, an unfamiliar heat pooling in his stomach.

'D-Damn it… Crom, why are you having these thoughts right now?!'

He quickly shook his head, forcing himself to reel in his instincts.

But… this was not the right time. He wanted his first experience with her to be alone, without distractions, where he could cherish her properly.

…Even though, technically, they were already married when he brought her and Ophis together to his homeland and he still owed her a honeymoon.

His voice, calm but firm, echoed in her mind.

"Patience, my Evil Dragon. Your turn will come in the near future, and when it does, it will be just the two of us, enjoying life together."

Crom's mental voice stuttered, full of uncharacteristic shyness.

"E-Eh?! You can hear my thoughts?! Y-You're sure? Y-You promise, my Lord? Do you truly accept this one into your family?"

Satria sighed. "Didn't we talk about this yesterday? I already consider you part of this family, so don't hesitate to ask for what you want."

There was silence for a moment—then, a giggle.

"Hehe~ Thank you… I promise you, My Lord, when the time comes, it will be an experience you will never forget."

Satria flushed slightly, clearing his throat.

"Oi, stop calling me 'My Lord' We're family—take it easy."

"Hmmm~ I understand… dear."

"Yup, that's better."

Meanwhile, Rimuru straightened up, bowing respectfully toward Kiyohime, but her nerves got the best of her.

"Th-thank you for having me! I… I hope I can live up to your expectations!"

Kiyohime raised an eyebrow, her folding fan partially hiding the small hint of a smile.

"Expectations?" she mused, her voice smooth yet calculating. "It's clear he thinks very highly of you. I simply want to know the person my Danna-sama respects… and cares for so much."

Her words carried weight, and though her smile was polite, her gaze was piercing—a gaze that could strip away pretenses and see into one's very soul.

Rimuru swallowed.

For all the things she had encountered, nothing had ever unsettled her quite like this moment.

A glance at Satria.

He gave her a supportive nod, his confidence in her unwavering.

Rimuru exhaled, then met Kiyohime's eyes with new determination.

"I care about Satria very deeply," she said earnestly. "I promise I'll always stand by him, through anything. I know that family is important to him, and I want to be worthy of that."

For a long moment, Kiyohime studied her.

Then, finally… a small, approving smile broke through her composed expression.

"Your sincerity is clear, Rimuru-san. I can see why Satria respects you… and perhaps, why he cares for you as well."

She turned, gesturing toward the kitchen.

"Now, come help me prepare dinner. Let's see how well you handle yourself in the kitchen."

Rimuru stiffened slightly.

Cooking…?

She glanced at Satria for help, but he was already pretending to admire the ceiling as if he hadn't heard a thing.

Kiyohime's test had begun.

While the others relaxed in the living room, Kiyohime led Rimuru i into the kitchen, her expression calm but observant.

Rimuru eagerly followed, feeling a mix of excitement and nervousness. This was her chance—not just to learn about Satria's family traditions, but to make a good impression on his first wife.

Kiyohime set out fresh ingredients, her movements graceful and practiced.

"Thank you for helping, Rimuru-san," she said, glancing at Rimuru with a small smile. "I know you're a guest, but in this family, sharing a meal is something special. And cooking together makes it even better."

Rimuru grinned, grabbing a kitchen knife and some utensils.

"I'm honored! And honestly, I've always wanted to learn more about Indonesian cooking. Satria talks about your dishes all the time."

Kiyohime's expression softened at that.

"Oh? He does, does he? At least my bad puppy knows how to appreciate good food."

Rimuru chuckled, feeling more at ease as she started chopping vegetables under Kiyohime's watchful eye.

Not far from the kitchen, Satria and Fatalis peeked through the doorway, watching the two women work in sync.

Rimuru, the unstoppable ruler of Tempest, was listening attentively, carefully adding spices with a focused expression.

Fatalis nudged Satria with a mischievous grin.

"Look at her! The famous Rimuru Tempest, cooking like a sweet housewife. Can you imagine what her fans in the original world would say if they saw her like this?"

Satria chuckled, crossing his arms.

"They'd lose their minds. The all-powerful slime, now a housewife... and with Kiyohime teaching her? That's a headline waiting to happen."

Fatalis smirked, eyes gleaming with amusement.

"I can see the news now: 'Rimuru Tempest: Fearless Leader by Day, Master Chef by Night!' Or maybe… 'Ultimate Housewife Material? Tempest's Most Eligible Bachelor Off the Market!'"

They both stifled their laughter, barely holding it in.

After a moment, Fatalis's gaze softened as she watched Rimuru carefully following Kiyohime's instructions.

"Jokes aside, it's kind of amazing. People think Rimuru is all strategy and power, but look at her—she's so genuine, treating your wife and mother like family. She values these little things. If her fans saw this, they'd go wild."

Satria's expression softened as well.

"That's what makes her special," he murmured. "She's not just a leader—she's… a real gem. And honestly, I'm lucky to have you girls in my life."

Fatalis gave him a teasing smirk.

"Aww, my dear husband's getting sentimental. Should I write that down for your diary?"

"Oi, don't ruin the moment," he grumbled.

Just then, Rimuru g glanced up, her sharp senses picking up on their presence.

She paused mid-stir, a knowing smirk forming.

"You two!" she called out. "Are you just going to stand there and watch, or are you actually going to help? We could use some extra hands!"

Satria and Fatalis froze.

Busted.

They exchanged quick glances before sheepishly stepping into the kitchen.

"Fine, fine, we'll help!" Satria sighed, rolling up his sleeves.

Fatalis winked. "Just don't expect me to be as graceful as you two. I'm a dragon, not a chef!"

Rimuru smirked, gesturing toward a cutting board. "Then let's see how well a dragon handles a knife."

The kitchen soon filled with laughter, teasing, and the warm scent of home-cooked food.

They weren't just cooking a meal—they were building memories, strengthening their bond as a family.

And somewhere out there, Rimuru's adoring fans might never know how she spent this day.

But for Satria and his wives, this simple, heartfelt moment meant more than any battle or conquest ever could.

After a warm family dinner filled with laughter and conversation, Satria led everyone outside to the spacious garden.

The night air was calm, a gentle breeze rustling the leaves. Above them, the sky stretched endlessly, dotted with stars, while soft garden lights cast a warm glow over the carefully tended plants and towering trees.

Rimuru took a deep breath, admiring the scenery, before turning to Satria with an approving smile.

"You never told me your house was this beautiful, Satria. Considering this is Japan… the cost must be beyond me!"

Satria puffed out his chest with a smug grin.

"Well? Bang Satria punya nih! Everything here is the result of my hard work and amazingness!"

Kiyohime, standing beside him, let out a soft sigh before resting her head on his shoulder.

"Satria should not be so arrogant," she gently chided. "Remember, your parents gave you that name so you would grow into a humble person—someone who values people, not just things."

Satria chuckled sheepishly, rubbing the back of his neck.

"Sorry… Hehehe… I just got carried away. It's not every day someone compliments my house."

Rimuru smiled, gazing up at the stars.

"Honestly, it's inspiring. You could've lived a comfortable life, but instead, you're out there, working hard and fighting for what you believe in." She paused, then added warmly, "It makes me admire you even more."

Satria's tail wagged metaphorically at the praise.

"Oh, definitely! I was called a Hero of Kindness for a reason!"

"Pffft!"

Fatalis barely held back her laughter.

"Bullshit!" she said, smirking. "Don't praise this bad boy too much, Rimuru-chan, or his ego will inflate to the heavens."

Rimuru giggled, accepting the expensive drink Fatalis handed her.

"Thank you, Fatalis-san."

Fatalis turned to Satria, offering him a drink as well, but he waved her off.

"Nope… I try to avoid alcohol. Just bring me some iced tea or something next time."

"Hmph, still a boring puppy." Fatalis took a sip herself, unfazed.

Suddenly, a red portal split open, crackling with energy.

From within, four figures emerged—Great Red, Ophis, Valiana, and Crom Cruach.

Great Red stepped forward, her golden eyes shimmering with power.

"Listen well." Her voice carried the weight of eons, a force of nature unto itself. "Power is nothing without wisdom. Skill is useless without understanding. You came to challenge me, eager to prove yourselves—but you have centuries to go before you can dream of laying a hand on me."

Valiana clenched her fists, her frustration evident. Despite her loss, she understood just how vast the gap between them truly was.

"I see… I still have a long way to go."

Beside her, Crom Cruach exchanged a look with her before bowing his head slightly.

"I came here to test my strength against the True Dragon God. You really are as strong as they say. I admit my defeat."

Great Red nodded approvingly.

"You both have potential. Grow, learn, and when you're truly ready—perhaps I will accept your challenge again. But until then, don't even think about it."

"Yes, Red-Sensei!" Valiana and Crom responded in unison, now looking at her with true respect.

Ophis, however, crossed her arms and snorted.

"Hmph. In reality, you were just playing with these chicks."

Great Red rolled her eyes before gently scolding her fellow Dragon.

"Don't be like that, Ophis. They are part of our family now. We should support them, help them grow stronger and more useful to our husband."

Satria, who had been casually sipping his iced tea, suddenly choked on his drink.

"Excuse me… but I'm not married to you yet. Nor to Rimuru, for that matter!" He wiped his mouth, eyeing them suspiciously.

Rimuru, who had been listening quietly, suddenly stiffened at the word marry.

"M-M-Marry?" She stammered, turning red. "A-Aren't we supposed to, you know… maybe date first or something?!"

Valiana grinned mischievously, resting her elbow on Satria's shoulder.

"Nah! In my husband's culture, they don't waste time with things like dating, right hubby?"

Satria nodded confidently, crossing his arms.

"True. I'm not going to touch you unless we're married."

Great Red chuckled, folding her arms beneath her ample chest.

"A traditional type, huh? That's pretty rare these days." She tilted her head in thought before flashing a playful smirk. "I don't mind, so… how about we make it a double wedding, Rimuru-chan?"

Rimuru froze.

"W-W-Wha—?" Her brain short-circuited as she tried to process the sheer boldness of the suggestion.

Great Red leaned closer, grinning devilishly.

"You know~ Two brides, one handsome husband… it's got a nice ring to it, don't you think?"

"W-W-Wait!! I— I—!" Rimuru c covered her face, feeling hotter than a fire spell. This was her first relationship, and they were already talking about marriage?!

Satria, seeing her flustered state, sighed and stepped in.

"Oi… Stop teasing my little slime." He gently took Rimuru's hands, his expression softening. "Rimuru… Listen. I'm not going to force you. You know how our family is—it's… well, a bit chaotic." He let out a small laugh. "But I promise you this: if you accept me, I'll protect you, cherish you, and love you forever."

Rimuru l lowered her hands slightly, staring at him with wide, almost vulnerable eyes.

Her heart pounded.

Satria was serious.

There was no pressure, no demands—just a promise. A real, sincere promise.

She bit her lip, feeling embarrassed, before muttering under her breath.

"After everything you've done for me, how could I refuse you?"

She glanced away, blushing furiously.

"Baka…"

Satria grinned, his heart feeling a little lighter.

Great Red snickered, nudging Valiana.

"Heh. She's already acting like a newly bride."

Valiana smirked.

"Told you, hubby's charm is unstoppable."

Kiyohime, watching the scene unfold, sighed.

"Hmph. More wives. More problems. Let's see how you handle this."

Fatalis sipped her drink with a knowing smile.

"More fun, you mean."

And with that, the night continued, but deep down, something had changed.

For the first time, Rimuru truly considered what it meant to belong to this family.

And… maybe…

It didn't seem so bad.

Just as things were settling down, Satria's phone buzzed.

A notification popped up on the group chat.

Satria raised an eyebrow.

"Huh… Now what?"

As the family stood outside, the cool night breeze rustled through the trees, creating a peaceful, almost magical atmosphere. The stars shone brightly above them, casting a soft glow over the garden.

Satria suddenly turned toward Crom with a mischievous smirk.

Before she could react, he swiftly scooped her up into a princess carry.

"Kya—!" Crom let out a surprised yelp, her cheeks instantly flushing red.

She clung to his shoulders, staring at him with wide, bewildered eyes. "D-Dear! What are you doing?!"

Satria grinned, holding her effortlessly as if she weighed nothing.

"Just trust me." His eyes sparkled with excitement. "I want to show you the world."

Crom's heartbeat quickened. The way he said it—so casually, yet with so much warmth—sent a shiver down her spine.

"S-Satria…" She swallowed hard, feeling her dragon instincts screaming at her to melt into his embrace.

Meanwhile, the rest of the family watched in amusement.

Great Red: "Oh? Taking her for a romantic flight under the stars?"

Ophis: "Hmph. More unnecessary affection."

Valiana: "Crom, just admit you're enjoying this."

Crom glared at them—but her face was still bright red.

"I-I'm NOT!"

Satria just chuckled, tightening his hold on her.

"Too late. You're already in my arms, so you might as well enjoy it."

Her fingers slowly tightened around his shirt, and she whispered softly,

"...You really are impossible, dear."

Satria smirked, leaning in slightly.

"And yet… you wouldn't have me any other way."
