First Time they met

Backstage after his second-ever show, Ethan was still buzzing from the rush of performing in a stadium packed with 80,000 fans and countless celebrities. Yet, none of that excitement could keep his mind from wandering to the girl he had noticed when he finished his last song.

Her luscious blonde hair shimmered even in the dim light, and despite the darkness, Ethan could have sworn her blue eyes were the brightest he had ever seen. He searched the area frantically, hoping to catch a glimpse of her again, but she had disappeared. Letting out a frustrated sigh, he finally decided to give up and ask for the VIP guest list. He could have sworn he'd seen her face before.

Just as he turned, he accidentally bumped into someone, and the person almost stumbled. In a reflex, he reached out to steady them, and as he did, he looked down at the face before him. There she was—the girl he'd been searching for all night—now in his arms.

Time seemed to freeze as their eyes locked. For a moment, they just stood there, staring into each other's eyes, neither one willing to break the spell.

"Are you okay" leaving his lips after a while

"Yeah, I'm good," came her voice, and hearing it made Ethan feel like he was floating on cloud nine.

Standing next to Sydney was Alexa Demie, her co-star from Euphoria. She looked up just in time to see Sydney in the arms of the person who had bumped into her. Realizing who it was, Alexa's eyes widened, and she exclaimed, "OMG, you're Ethan Jones, right?"

Ethan and Sydney both quickly broke apart, suddenly remembering they weren't the only ones in the building.

Clearing his throat, Ethan gently let go of Sydney and turned his attention toward Alexa. "Hello, yeah, I'm Ethan Jones. How are you?" he said, offering his arm in greeting.

"Oo, hello! I'm Alexa Demie," she replied, shaking his hand. "I just wanted to say that was such an amazing show, probably the best I've ever experienced. And that's saying something, because I've seen a lot!"

Ethan, still distracted by Sydney, nodded absent-mindedly. "Yeah, that's great," he said, his gaze lingering on Sydney as he spoke.

Alexa glanced between them, a knowing smile playing on her lips as she said, "Oh, this is my co-star, Sydney."

Ethan, snapping out of his trance, quickly extended his arm toward Sydney. "Hello, I'm Ethan Jones," he said, and Sydney took his hand, her touch warm. "Hi, I'm Sydney Sweeney," she replied, though Ethan didn't let go of her arm.

They stood there, holding hands, their eyes locked in a silent moment that felt like it lasted forever. The chemistry between them was palpable, and anyone could see it was an instant connection—mutual and undeniable.

fter what felt like an eternity to Alexa, she couldn't help herself. She pressed her hands to her mouth and made a loud "ahem, ahem" sound, breaking the spell that had settled over Ethan and Sydney.

"Oo, that's true. Sorry about that," Ethan said, finally pulling his gaze away from Sydney and offering a nervous chuckle. "My name is Ethan Jones," he added, almost as if repeating it for confirmation.

Alexa grinned, clearly enjoying the moment. "You've already said that," she teased, with Sydney giggling softly beside her. The playful energy between them made Ethan laugh as well, his earlier tension dissolving in the light-hearted atmosphere.

Sydney smiled at him, her eyes still holding that magnetic warmth, and Ethan felt the connection grow even stronger.

Ethan cleared his throat awkwardly, trying to shake off the moment. "Oo, yeah, sorry about that. So, are you ladies heading anywhere?" he asked, attempting to steer the conversation.

Sydney smiled and nodded. "Yeah, we were heading to the car. We had shooting today, plus this, so we're both pretty tired and just going home," she explained.

Ethan's face lit up. "Oo, perfect. Let me escort you to the parking spot," he said, looking around, trying to remember where the parking area was.

But before he could continue, Alexa, who had grown a little impatient with the whole situation, interrupted. "Aren't you going to do interviews? I mean, your show just finished," she asked, raising an eyebrow, as if trying to snap Ethan and Sydney back to reality.

Ethan, still looking around as if the parking spot might just magically appear, shrugged and said, "No, no, there's no need. Let me just escort you both."

Just as Ethan made his statement, Rebecca appeared, walking up quickly. "Ethan, there you are! Jessica's been looking everywhere for you. We need you to do an interview right now."

Ethan's jaw tightened, and he shot Rebecca a mildly irritated look. "Well, thank you, Rebecca. Just help me tell Jessica I'll be there soon," he said, forcing a polite smile.

Sydney, who had been unusually quiet, found herself a little baffled by the entire situation. She hadn't expected the newest sensation in music to act so down-to-earth, especially with her. And she couldn't lie—she was loving every second of it. Not to mention, Ethan was incredibly handsome.

Finally, Sydney broke the silence. "Don't worry, we can go on our own. We need to meet up with some people first, anyway."

Ethan sighed, a little disappointed but understanding. "Okay then, but can I get your number?" he asked, then turned to Rebecca. "Help me write it down, please? I'm not with my phone."

Sydney smiled and relented, giving Rebecca her number. Ethan thanked her with a soft smile. "Bye then, and thank you for coming to my show," he said warmly.

Both Sydney and Alexa nodded, smiling. "It's okay, and it was a great show. Bye!" they said in unison, but neither of them moved.

Ethan, still standing there, puzzled, asked, "Is anything wrong?"

Sydney looked down, her face flushing slightly. "Uh… you're still holding my hand."

Ethan glanced down and saw he was still holding her hand, his grip gentle but lingering. He quickly let go, a sheepish smile on his face. "Sorry, I forgot," he said, rubbing the back of his neck.

Sydney and Alexa both giggled, their laughter light and easy, as they turned to leave. Sydney, with a teasing smile, called back, "Bye then, Ethan Jones," dragging out his last name as she walked away with her friend.

Ethan stood there for a moment, watching them go, a smile still on his face, as he couldn't shake the feeling that this was just the beginning of something exciting.

As Ethan stood there, still watching Sydney walk away, Rebecca cleared her throat, snapping him out of his thoughts. "Ethan, we need to go, or Jessica will have our heads," she said, her voice laced with urgency.

Ethan nodded absentmindedly, his eyes still trailing Sydney until she disappeared around a corner, out of his view. With a soft sigh, he turned and started walking with Rebecca.

As they moved through the backstage area, looking for Jessica and the interviewer, Rebecca glanced at Ethan, curiosity written on her face. "Wait, when did you even meet Sydney Sweeney?" she asked, unable to hide her surprise.

Ethan, still a bit lost in his thoughts, blinked and responded absentmindedly, "Wait, is that her name?"

Rebecca looked at him like he had just spoken in a foreign language. "Yeah, she's huge in the movie scene right now. She's even got a movie coming out soon."

Ethan, not really hearing any of that, just muttered the only thing that had stuck in his mind. "Sydney Sweeney," he said, a smile creeping onto his face. He liked the way her name sounded—it felt like music to his ears.

With that, he thought to himself, What a nice name. He couldn't help but smile, his mind already racing with the thought of what was to come. This is going to be fun, he thought, his excitement only growing as he followed Rebecca.
