Kidnapped but found

Anna followed Alexander to the company cafeteria, her mood lighter now that the tension from the earlier events had settled. Alexander, always attentive to her needs, ordered a balanced meal for her and insisted she eat properly.

"You've barely eaten all day," he chided gently.

Anna smiled, a faint blush on her cheeks. "I'm fine, really. But thank you."

As the food arrived, Anna excused herself to go to the restroom. "I'll be right back," she said, standing up.

Alexander nodded, watching her leave before turning his attention to his phone to answer a few urgent messages.

Ten minutes passed, then fifteen, but Anna didn't return. Alexander, growing uneasy, checked his watch and glanced toward the restroom doors. After another five minutes, his patience snapped. He flagged down a female worker nearby.

"Could you please check the restroom for Anna Wallace?" he asked, his voice firm but calm.
