The Accident 4- Alex's complications

Reginald let out a heavy sigh, rubbing his temples as he leaned back against the hospital chair. The waiting had drained him, stealing every ounce of strength he had left. Vivian ( Anna's best friend), sat beside him, her hands clasped tightly in her lap, her eyes vacant. It had been hours of endless pacing, silent prayers, and tears that had long since dried on their faces.

Liam approached cautiously, his voice gentle yet firm. "Vivian, you should go home and rest. Adrian should be here soon to pick you up."

Vivian shook her head stubbornly. "I can't leave. Not while Alex is still in there."

Reginald reached for her trembling hands. "You need rest, Vivian. You're exhausted." His voice cracked, betraying the exhaustion in his own body. "If Alex wakes up, he'll need you to be strong. And you won't be if you keep pushing yourself like this."

Tears welled in her eyes, but she nodded weakly.
