Chapter 100
Tanin sat on the couch, her fingers tapping restlessly against her knee. The conversation with Leila had left her with a storm of thoughts swirling in her mind, and she needed to clear them. Across from her, Leila leaned forward, her eyes narrowed in deep thought. The air between them was thick with tension, both of them trying to piece together the puzzle that had been laid before them.
Leila finally exhaled sharply, shaking her head. "Tanin, I've been thinking… We need more proof. If we keep going off suspicions alone, we won't be able to uncover the full truth."
Tanin raised a brow, shifting slightly. "What do you have in mind?"
Leila leaned closer, lowering her voice. "Kitana's room. The Scottsdale family house. We should go there tomorrow and search for anything that might give us more insight—diaries, pictures, letters—anything that can tell us what really happened."
Tanin hesitated, chewing the inside of her cheek. "That's risky."
