Chapter 126: The Coalition’s Counterstrike

The mood in Blackmere was tense. The destruction of Calder's supply depots had been a significant victory, but Damien knew it was only a matter of time before the coalition retaliated. Reports from scouts along the eastern border suggested increased movement among the enemy forces, and there was little doubt that they were planning their next move.

Damien stood in the war room, his steel-gray eyes fixed on the map spread across the table. His commanders were gathered around him, their expressions a mixture of determination and unease.

"They won't let this go unanswered," Damien said, his tone cold but steady. "The question is where they'll strike."

Carys, seated to his left, studied the reports in front of her. "The most likely target is Redcrest Pass. It's the key to the eastern territories, and its defenses are still being reinforced. If they take it, they'll have a direct route to Winter's Crown."
