Serene and I are staring at the doctor as he fidgets with his Stethoscope. He's been in my ward for the past few minutes, examining me and dishing out instructions to the nurses that left few minutes ago.

I'd woken up to him talking to Theron about my condition but once they noticed I was awake, they stopped talking and he left. Now he's back and after the nurses left, has refused to utter a single word to me and just kept staring between I and my best friend who walked in three minutes after him.

"Dr Paul, is there a problem?" I ask again for the second time and he flashes me another small smile.

"Of course not, I'm just checking in on you."
