Felt Right

Selena followed Alex through the crowd, their hands still linked as they navigated the bustling festival streets. The colourful lanterns glimmered above them, lighting the way as Alex led her to a quieter part of town.

"Where are we going?" Selena asked, her curiosity piqued.

Alex glanced back at her with a small smile, "Somewhere... Quieter. Away from the noise."

Selena could feel her cheeks burn. Somewhere... Private then?

"Y- you did not have to. I'd be happy anywhere." Selena quickly added. She was feeling awfully nervous. She shook her head and tried to stay strong. 

"You'll thank me later," he said simply, turning his gaze forward.
