"Explain yourself!" Prince Adrian's voice thundered through the air, his glare locked on Lady Seraphine.
She stepped back instinctively, her confidence faltering. Words refused to form as the weight of the prince's wrath bore down on her. Behind her, Lady Violet and Lady Brianna let go of Eleanor, who collapsed to the ground and immediately crawled toward Lady Mariel.
"L-Lady Mariel?" Eleanor's voice cracked with panic, ignoring the throbbing pain in her face. Her hands trembled as she tried to support Mariel, who was coughing violently. "Oh no! Oh my God, please!"
Lady Mariel struggled to breathe, a trickle of blood escaping from the corner of her mouth. Prince Adrian gestured toward Sir Cedric, who rushed over to assess them.
"They're injured, Your Highness," Sir Cedric reported grimly. His gaze shifted to Eleanor's bruised face. "Both of them."
