The camp had grown eerily silent, with Father Linus seated a short distance away, staring off into the forest with a distant look in his eyes. The absence of Maric and the healer weighed heavily, though Linus seemed lost in thought, unable to move.

Fenrir observed him closely, his sharp eyes narrowing. He leaned forward slightly, his voice cutting through the silence. "Father Linus," he said, his tone calm but with an edge of urgency. "It's been too long since Maric and the healer left. Shouldn't we go look for them?"

Linus blinked, startled by the sudden question. He turned his head slowly toward Fenrir, confusion clouding his face. "They... they might just be delayed. The forest can be... unpredictable," he murmured, though his voice lacked conviction.
