Ch 82: Believe in yourself - Part 1

The announcement of the temple's relocation to New Portand had sent shockwaves through the village. Initially, many assumed the locals would grumble, perhaps protest for a day or two, but eventually, they would come to terms with the decision.

After all, the temple had always held a sacred and untouchable place in the village's structure. Even if people were angry, it was widely believed that their reverence for the divine would temper their frustrations.

But that assumption proved to be gravely mistaken.

Instead of calming down, the villagers' anger continued to simmer, growing hotter with each passing day. They felt abandoned, betrayed by the priests who were supposed to guide and protect them. 

It wasn't just the loss of the temple—it was the way it symbolized their fears of being left behind, forgotten in favor of New Portand's growing influence.
