The room fell into a heavy silence as Drenek's words sank in. For all their scheming and posturing, the nobles of Chashire were beginning to realize the full extent of the power they were up against.

Lady Elsin broke the silence, her voice quiet but firm. "Then what do you suggest we do?"

Drenek scoffed, grabbing his cloak and heading for the door. "You? Nothing. If I were you, I'd count my blessings that he hasn't turned his attention to you yet. Because if he does, no amount of wealth or influence will save you."

With that, he left, slamming the door behind him. The nobles sat in stunned silence, their earlier bravado shattered.

As the days passed, the nobles grew increasingly paranoid. Every shadow seemed to loom larger, every whisper carried the threat of Fenrir's name. Though they maintained their outward composure, their unity began to crumble under the weight of their fear.
