Ch 119: A decline in health - Part 2

Vynard's condition worsened with each passing day. What had begun as bouts of drowsiness had now escalated into near-constant exhaustion.

Every movement felt like a monumental effort, as though his limbs were weighed down by invisible chains. Even simple tasks—sitting up in bed, eating a meal, or crossing the room—had become grueling challenges.

He couldn't understand what was happening. No fever, no pain, no discernible illness—just a crushing fatigue that drained him of all strength.

Despite the worsening state of his health, every attempt to identify the cause had yielded nothing.

The physician's examinations had been fruitless, and no outward symptoms pointed to any known ailment. Vynard was a man who prided himself on his composure, but the mystery of his affliction was beginning to unravel him.
