"I like to think of it as taking initiative. You have been on the defense for too long, Aiden. It think it is high time I show you how the game is really played."
Bard shifted uncomfortably on seeing Maxwell, his guilt now evident in the manner at which he avoided Aiden's eyes.
"What the heck do you want?" Aiden asked.
"Hahaha..." Maxwell laughed hysterically, "I think you already know what I want. But let us make this clear, your company, your wife, your life..." Maxwell chucked, "All of it will go down before your very eyes. And there is nothing you will be able to do to stop it."
"You made a huge mistake coming here, Maxwell. Throwing threats at me, well, I can let that slide. But dragging Marina into this? That is a line you will regret ever crossing."
