ARIANA'S POV.
I hit the gate, and even tried shaking it, but all that I could hear was the pounding rain.
"Karen! Yvonne! Zillah! Dana!" I began to call the names of all the maids in the house one after the other, but even I knew it was futile. The rain had drowned out all sound, and no one would hear me. I couldn't even hear myself. I was drenched from head to foot, and my teeth chattered.
"Somebody open this damn gate!" I shouted. The lights of the mansion were still on, which meant people were still awake.
Shivering and shaking like a leaf, my numb fingers picked up stones, and I began to throw them at the windows, but they fell short. I was never good at throwing, and my arms were too stiff to even throw it far.
"Damn you! I said damn you! Luke will return, and throw you out, you know! Open this damn gate." I screamed, and coughed, having used too much of my lungs to scream.
