On my way out of the hospital, I was just lost. Lost in thoughts, and I didn't even know where I wanted to go, although I was fairly sure work wasn't an option. Thankfully, the rain had stopped and the sun was managing to peek out from behind the thick clouds that had shielded its glory.
I ended up spending the afternoon in a café, ordering drink after drink, dessert after dessert, trying to sort out my thoughts.
Me? A witch? I knew that of all the beings and species that existed right under the noses of the humans, the witches were the hardest to spot. They didn't have urges that could make them shift into monsters, and looked human all the time.
Also, they'd lived amongst humans for much longer than wolves, even before some of the humans began to know about the existence of wolves, and blending well was their specialty.
