ARIANA'S POV.
My eyes flew open.
My breath came out fast in uneven rhythms, as I tried to make sense of what was happening. I was dry, and definitely wasn't on the window sill, with the rain beating into me recklessly.
I closed my eyes, trying to calm my jangled senses.
My bones were sore and aching, and it felt like I would need an urgent massage.
I sat up. I was still on the cold floor where I had slept off, and the rain was falling, although the sky was bright. It was morning already.
It was morning, but I could still the nightmare vividly in my mind's eye. I shuddered upon thinking that it might not actually be a nightmare but a vision.
What if Victoria really came at night to murder me?
The table I had placed against the door was still there, and quickly, I picked myself up, and rushed into the bathroom, taking a hot bath.
