LUKE'S POV.

Drake and Esme still stared at each other. Esme probably thought the idea of searching for a vampire— and making them lead us to the other vampires, and possibly Ariana— was bullshit.

I couldn't just smell our meal cooking; I could smell the burning malice between them. They emitted dark auras in the kitchen with its painted white walls.

"I know it sounds like a really bad plan, but we're going to try it because at this desperate stage, I'm ready to try anything that could perhaps bring me a step closer to Ari." I said, and Esme rolled her eyes, placing her elbows on the table.

"That could even be dangerous. Bringing a vampire into a palace with all the pack heads assigned here." She stressed, hitting the table with her index finger, but I didn't get her point. Where was the danger in that?

"So you think a vampire in the same building, with numerous pack heads will be dangerous? For who? The vampire?" Drake asked.
