Frustrations (Part 2)

======================

Snow drifted softly from the sky, each flake illuminated by the faint glow of lanterns dotting the street.

The world was cloaked in a gentle stillness, the muted crunch of boots on the frost-covered ground the only sound breaking the serenity.

The thought lingered, unresolved, as the soft crunch of snow underfoot pulled her from her musings.
