Ch. 82 - The Great War! [19]

"I'm surprised you survived that." While cleaning up the aftermath of the battle and when I mean cleaning up, I meant removing traces of the fight such as Trihexa and our flesh and bloods along with Trihexa's puke earlier.

It was a decision that came from me which although confusing them but still did as I suggested.

After all, I've been living in a world where cloning and copying abilities are made possible through science genetics, and stuff. Although this world isn't part of the Marvel Universe, I still need to be cautious.

"I'm just lucky I guess." I simply shrugged my shoulders and replied to Odin, lying through my teeth.

Can't trust this old man yet, especially after the perverted stunt he pulled earlier.

His wise and intelligent image in my mind has been ruined forever.

"Luck, huh? It's good to have such skill." Odin massages his chin for a few moments before nodding his head in understanding, probably missing on the lie I just did or he knows but didn't bother pressing on.

"Anyways. I heard from Princess Sylphie of Alfheim that you've been wanting to meet me. She just returned to her realm just this week from what I know." Odin then changed the topic to something more crucial.

"She's…right." After knowing that Odin turns out to be a pervert, I have long changed my mind from having a private meeting with him however now that he brought this up, I have no choice but to nod my head in agreement.

"Well then. After settling yourself then you'll be having an audience with me. I'll try my best to answer the questions you seek." Odin graciously offered.

"Thank you, Lord Odin." I slightly bowed my head to the Asgardian King and thanked him.

"By the way. This is your friend, right? He exhausted his energy and used up some of his life force to pull the last move that made Trihexa puke earlier. I've already stabilized his status so he just needs a good rest." He explained to me before handing Ajuka's unconscious body into my arms.

Looking down at his pale face, I sighed in relief and silently muttered a word of gratitude to him.

Once he wakes up, I'll thank him properly.

But for now, I need to bring him back to the Underworld and tell Serafall what happened, so Sitri Hospital would know what to do.

"It's been a great experience meeting you, my new friend." Buddha came flying over and approached me with his usual friendly tone and golden aura.

Along with those…long earlobes.

"Me too." I nodded my head to him and we didn't speak any further after that.

He must be the silent type.

After bidding farewell to them, I opened a portal back to the Underworld, specifically one of the Sitri's main hospitals.

Thankfully, the staff inside already knew who I was so they let me in and I met with the director whom I told of Ajuka's current state.

After leaving my green-haired friend in good hands, it's time for me to go home.

Opening another portal that leads to the Sanctum Sanctorum, I went through and noticed it was empty.

'Where are they?' I muttered to myself in confusion as I spread my senses around the entire village.

Everything seems pretty normal, Grandpa Rad is sleeping in his farm house alone, the villagers are going on in their daily lives, and yet the kids are not here.

Suddenly, I grew suspicious as I could smell that something was wrong.

But before I could investigate and find them, a flash of light appeared before me.

It was God.

"If you're worried about your students. I sent them to Merlin's tower first. We need to talk my grandchild." God said and we sat around the table in silence.

"You died there, didn't you?" Was God's first words that initialized the conversation.

Instead of answering, I nodded my head and he proceeded with the next question.

"When you came back out there. I sensed that you're no longer a devil but an angel, similar to Lucifer." At this question, my response is still a nod of my head.

"Sigh. So that means Raviel's gone. The small holy energy I planted on him has disappeared, so at first, I thought you both died when the beast ate you. But when you came out with a new body, I knew what happened inside. Raviel must've used his little life force left on him to save your soul from being destroyed by Trihexa." God, the ever-all-knowing god, shed some light on the situation.

"So he's really gone?" I asked, trying my best to keep myself from choking on sadness.

"Unfortunately yes. If his soul were still alive, I would've been informed of his arrival in heaven but he didn't, and even if he's alive, the holy energy I planted on him wouldn't have disappeared." God explained in a solemn tone.

We both went silent after that. An entire minute of making no sound before it was broken by none other than me.

"He told me to relay a message to his mother, Lilith. He wanted to officially say good bye to her." I said and God frowned.

"….I see. Then I'll make sure you would be able to meet with Lilith after the Great War is done." God nodded his head and assured me, however my next words made God's face turn grim.

"So that means you're not gonna die?" I asked in a hopeful tone.

"…I'm not sure. When I learned that Trihexa has escaped her seal, I knew fighting it might cause me of my death, or at least weaken me enough for Lucifer and his band of Satans to deliver the finishing blow."

"How did you even come up with that conclusion." I looked at him weirdly as I say.

"Haha!~ Well, it's a long story and it involved the Longinus that I gave you." God chuckled and pointed at the Pocket Watch hanging on my neck as he dropped a bomb on my head.

"Chronos Requiem?" I muttered to myself in shock.

"That's right. I might be strong but I'm not powerful enough to conjure God-Killing artifacts out of thin air. So I resolve to using other beings as a catalyst for the artifacts." I immediately understood what he meant by those words.

"….So, who is the being that you used for my Longinus?" I leaned forward in a serious manner.

"He used to be feared by everyone millions of years ago. To the point that his own children decided to kill him."

"His name is Kronos. The Titan Lord of Time. And my encounter with him is what made me realize that my death is coming and it is inevitable…." God then sighed before continuing with the story.

As for me, I perked up my hearing to make sure I won't miss anything from his story. Just the introduction of the being that he used as a catalyst already made me come up with a few theories of mine and some guesses that only God will be able to answer.

***

"What does the 'Almighty, All-Kind and Forgiving' God wants to do with a fallen lord like me? To laugh? Mock me? You're million years late for that." Arriving at the Tartarus that was said that no mortal can possibly exist and can even give minor Gods a hard time breathing, God floats towards the enormous head of the Titan Lord of Time.

As the Titan Lord of Time was known to be unkillable, the Greek Gods has decided to imprison him and to make sure that no rebellion or escape would happen, Kronos was cut into pieces and each body part was placed on different parts in Tartarus.

"Laugh at you? What's there to laugh at? Hehe~." God replied in a teasing manner, however, instead of earning anger, Kronos simply gave God a mocking laugh.

"Laugh now, you thief. Your fate will be worse than mine." Kronos grinned, showing his crooked teeth.

"Fate worse than yours? What's worse than being overthrown by his own children and cut into pieces?" God casually replied, engaging in conversation with the Titan.

"At least, I wasn't killed by my own son, unlike you." The Titan's words made God frown slightly.

"….Is there a need to tell me something that I already know?"

"Ah, yes. But knowing about your fate is different than being sure of the said fate." Kronos chuckled evily, despite losing everythjng he has when he used to be at the top, the concept of evil still flows through his veins.

"Is that you talking base on your experience?" Although Kronos's words has shaken him, God still maintained his cool and even pulled another tease.

And it seemed God has successfully rage bait the Titan Lord of Time.

"Screw you, thief! This isn't over! Once I receive the news of your death, I'll make sure to laugh at your corpse!" Although God is only talking to Kronos's head without a body, his shout alone caused shock waves that pushed his white hair and robe back.

"Don't worry. By the time you'll receive the news of my death. You'd be dead by then." His words made the Titan squint his eyes.

"What do you mean by that?" Titan spat with a venomous tone.

"It's nothing, really. I just need the perfect gift for my Grandson, his birthday is coming up, after all. And I think turning you into an artifact is much better than being wasted imprisoned here." Grinning, God's body radiated intense holy energy as Kronos's eyes widened in surprise and realization.

"You are crazy! I'm unkillable! Immortal! You can't kill me! You're declaring War against the Titans and my children won't let this matter go once they find out!" Suffice to say, Kronos felt true fear for the first time. Fear for his life.

"You're right." God nodded his head and said, earning a sigh in relief from Kronos.

"I'll just have to make sure to clean up any traces so your children won't find the culprit." With that being said, the holy energy emanating from God intensified as Kronos yelled.

"NOOO! You can't do this!"
