"What are those?" The devils, unable to comprehend the weird contraption in front of them, didn't react much as some of them even dared to approach them.

A huge mistake on their part.

The moment one of them reached a few meters from a Mystic Guardian, the latter suddenly made its move.

With a swing of its enormous broadsword, the low-class devil was sliced into half without any sort of resistance.

The sight shocked everyone present, even the Archangel himself.

He doesn't sense any life form inside the metal construct, it simply contains complex characters of runes and intertwined magical energy.

From what he can assume based on his knowledge about runes, it should be capable of absorbing the surrounding magical energy and using it for something.

"Those aren't normal." He muttered to himself.

"D-Destroy them!" A middle-class devil shouted quickly after recovering from being shocked.

Heeding his words, the devils especially the middle-class ones, set aside their pride for being ordered by the same class before following the said order.

"Charge!" Millions of red devils, wearing armor and carrying weapons swarmed towards the towering figures of the Mystic Guardians.

The Mystic Guardians, numbering a hundred, made their moves, their innate commands of following the order of their master, made them fearless and a horror on the battlefield.

Their swords coated in holy energy enchantments that are very fatal to devils, sliced through their bodies like hot knives in butter.

This is the new upgrade that Chamber implemented during the last few hours that he had before the devils invaded the human world.

As for why there are so many Mystic Guardians numbering to hundreds. It's all thanks to Balthazar and a few experts in Merlin's Magic.

Through their magic, they were able to use my original Mystic Guardians as a reference and created an exact replica.

What I did was to implement the same enchantments I placed on the original Mystic Guardians, turning the replicas into the originals.

Very efficient and convenient.

"T-These are Holy Energy?" The Angels, being attuned to the said energy, immediately sensed it being coated on the Mystic Guardian's weapons.

"Did he create this?" The Archangel's voice was filled with amazement as he stared up at the perpetrator of this, the orange-robed masked man floating in the sky.

On Chamber's side, he was talking to his students.

"I want you all to only fight near one of the Mystic Guardians, I've assigned them to prioritize your safeties and remember, always stick together, and watch each other's backs, understood?" As Chamber was giving his advice, he noticed that they weren't paying attention to him, instead, they were mesmerized by the sheer intensity of the fight.

However, Bella was a bit different as she was the only one listening to Chamber while the boys were pointing fingers as if they were in some kind of zoo.

No one can blame them, after all, not every day you get to see millions of devils huddled together, roaring and pushing one another as they charged towards their enemies, a typical scene in wars.

Irritated, Chamber crossed his arms and his eyebrows furrowed.

Enhancing the volume of his voice, Chamber repeated his words, resonating between them.

"I SAID, UNDERSTOOD?"

"Yes!" Tam, Faust, and Augustus all snapped out of it at the same time as they bowed their heads to Chamber with fear-stricken faces.

"Good. Bella, take care of them." As the girl was the only one who listened to Chamber, he decided to entrust them under Bella's care.

"Yes, Master." She softly said while lowering her head slightly in a bow.

'Tam would surely attract their attention. Although I've masked his devil smell with runes, it's not enough to hide it from the powerful ones.' Speaking of this in his mind, Chamber was referring to the Archangel who was leading the first line of angel defense.

From what he knows, an Archangel is on the same level as a High-class devil, actually, stronger than that.

Seraphims like Michael and Gabriel are the ultimate class ones. The true powerhouses in this world.

Reaching the rank would allow them to devastate tens of Kingdoms in a mere flick of a finger, razing them to the ground.

In the Marvel Universe, that kind of power is almost akin to a God like the current Odin, or maybe less powerful than him but powerful nonetheless.

As for the Prime Odin? Chamber read in Kamar-Taj that in Odin's Prime, even a Celestial God fears fighting him alone.

There's a reason why he alone managed to conquer the entire Nine Realms.

Even the Ancient One herself told him that if she were to fight Odin in his prime, even using the Time Stone wouldn't be enough for her to beat him.

Though Chamber suspected that there was a wordplay during that time as she didn't say she would lose, she only said she wouldn't beat Odin.

'No High-class devils anywhere.' Chamber muttered to himself as he just finished scanning the entire battlefield and so far, he only spotted that among the millions of devils, only the mid-class devils are the strongest and their numbers don't reach beyond five digits.

"As long as there's no High-class. They'll be fine. Especially Tam and Faust." The reason for this confidence was that the former is a low-class devil almost reaching mid-class and the latter has a potential Sacred Gear that he hasn't unlocked yet.

With how busy Chamber has become, he doesn't have the time to fully assess what Faust is truly capable of.

All he knows is that his Sacred Gear should be related to explosions.

Chamber remained stationary in the air, watching down as if the war was mere entertainment for him.

Some devils thought they had a chance on him and tried to fight him, only to end up with their faces smashed against his fist, and caved in. Literally.

"Should've stuck on what you can handle," Chamber muttered to himself.

Since the 'Big Ones' hadn't arrived yet, he decided to let his students experience their first life-or-death fights, ensuring they had ample experience in fighting someone that is intending to kill them.

Spar might be good but it's just a spar, their sparring partner doesn't have the intention to kill them.

This Great War is the best opportunity for them to gain some and once the High-class and Ultimate-class devils arrive, he would quickly swoop in and pull them out of the war, directly taking them back to the Sanctum Sanctorum for safety.

As for the Mystic Guardians fighting on the battlefield, there are still a few of them back in the Sanctum and it's not like it's that hard to remake them.

With the convenience of magic, the resources and manpower are already covered.

If Chamber were to focus his entire day on making Mystic Guardians, he would be able to create at least 500 of them.

With the help of the other wizards, thousands of Mystic Guardians can be created in a week.

So for the current Mystic Guardians, the reason why Chamber brought them here was to simply test their effectiveness and so far, they didn't disappoint him.

Although he had lost 5 or 6 of them, they still managed to take down thousands of devils along with them. Perishing like a hero in battle.

"I should find ways to increase their durability. Or maybe I could use magic to recreate Vibranium in this world? Those metals are capable of absorbing Kinetic Energy, building one with Vibranium along with several runic enchantments might make them durable enough to withstand several full-powered blows from the Satans themselves." Chamber muttered to himself as he assessed the performance of the Mystic Guardians.

One Mystic Guardian with a long sword as a weapon was cleaving through the swarms of devils with ease as if they were nothing but mere ants in his way.

While some with spear-like weapons were skewering the devils, piling them one by one on the long spear as if they were some barbeque.

There are even those with blunt weapons such as a hammer and a mace, were smashing the devils left and right, forcing the devils to take flight and make some space just to deal with them.

All in all, Chamber liked their performance and he would rate them a 10/10.

Unfortunately, the devils have learned how to adapt and have now managed to lessen their casualties and started smashing the Mystic Guardians piece by piece.

Thankfully the angels weren't idle as they had also been doing their part by helping fight the devils.

'There's too many devils dying left and right. Was Ajuka right? The population of the devils would drastically decrease after the war?' Chamber frowned as he stared at this scene.

I guess the implementation of Evil Pieces is inevitable.

Chamber was thinking of proposing the cancellation of the Evil Pieces being used on humans but with how the devils are quickly depleting like how a fallen YouTuber was losing his subscribers, he now can't proceed with one of his side plans.

'Doesn't matter. With the rules I've set, the devils would definitely think twice before recruiting a human to their ranks. Before we enter the modern era, my Aegis of the Eternal Veil would be completed by then.' Chamber calmly assured himself in his mind.

The fight went on for almost an entire day with both sides losing much.

The devils have dwindled from millions to a mere hundred thousand while the Angels are in an even worse situation, only the Archangel and a thousand few strong Angels remain standing.

Don't even talk about the Mystic Guardians, they've long been dismantled by the devils with their wit, adaptation, Demonic Energy, and spells.

Chamber has already sent his students back to the Sanctum Sanctorum as he wasn't expecting the fight to last this long.

He even joined the fight himself while only using his Eldritch spells.

He avoided exposing his Demonic Energy spells or Holy Energy as that would complicate his current situation and now's not the best time to explain himself.

Chamber also received a few reports from the wizards and sorcerers that he sent all over the world to help defend the human world from devil invasion and so far, the losses pained him greatly.

Almost a quarter of his entire Sorcerer Society members perished from the battle while the rest were taking turns by recuperating in the Merlin's Tower.

Thankfully, with the information he sent to Michael, Heaven was able to send down thousands of Angels to help with repelling the devils trying to cause chaos.

However, some unforeseen things happened such as a band of magicians were spotted helping the Sorcerer Society fight the devils and a few more.

What attracted Chamber's attention in one of the reports was that key individuals were helping fight off the devils.

It was Buddha and Odin.

Yeah, God probably grabbed Ajuka again and asked him to help God convince those two.

Seriously, are those three some sort of drinking buddies?
