Privy to only the most privileged, was the knowledge of an ancient—unproven rumor. One that ran amok within the gatherings of the higher entities of the universe; the searing Seraphs, the arrogant Empyreans, and the lofty Celestials. A rumor that spoke of a fourth and final realm!

Inconceivable!

Or so they thought…

A deviant emerged. One backed up by Heaven's radiance. And whether coincidentally or not, his very name echoed this truth.

Those words echoed in my mind as much as they did in the chamber, and I felt my emotions bubble up, experiencing a range of transformations. Still, all of it settled, and I even revealed a smile.

Lux saw this and frowned; his smirk faded in annoyance. He seemed a different man.

"What is the meaning of this?" Eiko demanded, indignation present in her tone. I didn't need to ask since it felt pointless.

His smile returned at that point. Eiko gave him what he wanted.

"Not much. Everything simply went according to my plan," he said, taking a deep breath and expressing what seemed like satisfaction.

"What's your plan?" I asked, leading him on. His smile widened again, and he nodded, stroking his chin. I stared in silent wonder. Although I seemed calm, the storm in my chest had returned.

"You mean all this was within your plan? Plan to do what?" I pressed, sounding calm.
